Can you imagine $3.69 plus tax for a cup of coffee. Whatever happened to the old Sals.
Won’t get my business again.

The evening's experience at the restaurant started positively, with efficient service from Katie. Nevertheless, this was overshadowed by Richard's behavior towards Katie at the end of the meal, when he publicly reprimanded her in a manner that was both unprofessional and humiliating. When I spoke to Richard about this, his response was unacceptable, as he told me to leave and not return in a very rude manner. The female manager's intervention was appreciated, but Richard's apology lacked genuineness. The incident underscores the importance of training staff and management in customer service and conflict resolution.

Once again I phoned ahead and asked if they had any whole red velvet cakes that i could come get. Was assured yes. Got there in the pouring rain soaked to be told they had none. This is the third time this had happened. I said " I just called and was told had some" and the girl says "AND? and laughed like she thought it was funny. Last time I dined inside the manager came running out with his phone on full volume to show his staff a funny cat video. I have had more bad service at this restaurant than all my 60 years dining anywhere. It's sad cause the food is good but the staff is the worst

Stopped here for lunch, ordered the Mr Big Nip Platter & the Fat Boy Platter with sweet potato fries. The food was great, the restaurant was really nice, clean and inviting. Everyone working was friendly and cheerful. Our server was really nice and full of joy! Definitely recommend coming here! We will be back!

I'm so tired of this place and it's inconsistencies. The other one is like this to. I'm done coming here as they charged me $14 for this. What a rip off. This is a kid's menu size pancake.

We came here with our teenager grandson. The experience was good, but not the best. Our grandson ordered waffles, but we couldn't believe how small they were. He said they were good, but they were no bigger than small toasts. My wife and I ordered the classic breakfast. That was good, but my scrambled eggs were overcooked and not very tasty. My wife's medium eggs were overdone. The meat on all three plates was delicious.
The service and atmosphere were very good.

It’s pretty fancy. We were told it was. The food was really good and cooked EXACTLY as requested. Service was fast once we were seated. Decent prices. Breakfast is always good. The shrine to the music, The Guess Who and Rockola, was great!

We've been many times with a positive experience for the most part however today the food was awful. i have never seen turkey bacon cooked like this, so dry. it looked like dog food, tasted awful! i also ordered over easy eggs and when asked if this was their over easy, the server said yes. they were definitely over medium, nearing over hard. the hashbrowns weren't as good as usual. definitely disappointed in the experience and food we had today. the server also knew we were disappointed but didn't ask until we were near done about how the food was.

I've been to this location many times but it doesn't live up to the other Sal's in the city.

Much smaller portions, the pancakes are half the size, compared to other locations, the Nip hamburgers are literally like a flatten meatball and always over cooked or way too salty. Although the service is good here, I rather drive an extra 10 - 15 minutes to another location.

The management at this location should review the Salisbury house standards.

Historic location known as SAL's and filled with people. This original location has an amazing display of MANITOBA MUSIC worth the visit alone. Terrifically efficient and bubbly serving staff. Huge portions which made me feel I was back in the USA with the size. But even though I had asked for really fried shredded potatoes I think the plate was left on the servery too long as both that and the under-buttered toast arrived cold. Interesting for an out-of-towner visit....but a one-and-done.

Came here for dinner as we were visiting family.  While the pricing is cheaper than most restaurants these days, you are getting diner food.  The carpets weren't very clean and the food took a while.  Food was 'meh'...hubby got a burger and didn't care for it.  You can go to Dairy Queen and get something better for cheaper.  Our server was really friendly though so props to her.   I know this place is a Winnipeg staple but I don't get the appeal.  It's not a place I would go to again.

On Oct 16 there were about 20 of us who came here for a get together in the afternoon around 3:30 PM. We had reservations and they took very good care of us. The waitress was very friendly and was joking around with us. A bunch of us had their seniors meals which was good. It was a lot of work taking care of all of us but they did a great job. Thank you to the staff for all their hard work. It was a good place for a get together.
