Very good sushi and reasonable prices . Eating in , dont expect spectacular service, but food is great. I order from skip the dishes most of the time.
The food was tasty, the service was good and the price didn't break the bank.
Valentines lunch with husband and my baby went great. Ordered about 7 or 8 rolls , the gyoza is great. Wanted to try octopus : was very tough.

Long time customer of Sei Sushi, but was disappointed with order tonight. Rolls were very small, thinly sliced and quite small portions of fillings. Not sure if new staff but definitely not up to what I have experienced in the past.

Went to check out the fish and chips we had heard about. It was quite good. Fish was in kind of a tempura batter and fries were good. The menu looks interesting so we will go back again. It's not the best fi and chi in Winnipeg but is respectfully in the top tier. Very reasonably priced as well

We came in on Friday evening, we dined in. The atmosphere could use more coziness, but acceptable and clean. Sushi was good. Prices were typical. Negitoro was the only disappointing roll. The Cali/bakudan/crunch/dynamite were good. Bakudan was our favorite. Vegetable tempura was better than expected. I think I'd try the lunch specials next time, as they have many options. Some feedback - offer bigger bowls for dipping sushi/tempura.

They put my vegetarian food in the same container as meat, touching each other. They obviously have no sense of cross contamination. Very bad practice. You know my order, you may refund my card for that at your convenience.
The place looks like it should be torn down or on Ramsey's kitchens nightmares. The walls the the tables, seats, flooring, all extremely old and not kept up. Renovate. It's clean when you do. I didn't see the washroom but I'm sure I don't want to. Left a nice tip for what? To throw away what I bought? Won't be returning or recommend. Good luck! There's a reason the restaurant was totally empty. Unreal.

I had this most amazing bento box here. Generous portions for a great price, and the katsu was crispy AND delightful.

Great quality sushi at a very reasonable price. We order take out here weekly but this week we dined in for the first time. Even though they were busy with a lot of take out orders, the service was quick, friendly and attentive. And the sushi was even better fresh in the restaurant! Sei is a local gem

The sushi is about as good as any place around them. Nothing spectacular. They are extremely rude and argumentative. We ordered $150 of sushi. My wife called to make sure there was extra wasabi and ginger. They sent half a tablespoon of wasabi inside one of 3 roll containers. The other two had none. Then there was one small tiny dish with another half tablespoon. My wife called to ask what happened and his answer was that we are incorrect and he gave us extra. He was so stubborn and rude about it we had to cut the conversation off. We told them we will never order from them again and hung up the phone. Unbelievable, order $150 of sushi, and he argues with us about $2 of wasabi. Good luck to anyone else ordering here.

My wife and I came up to visit Winnipeg from the US state of Iowa about a month ago to support our kind Canadian neighbours. After our fun morning exploring the nearby Assiniboine Park Zoo, we stopped here for lunch. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and it had chill vibes. You should certainly eat here if you get the chance!

Portion was small and nothing like the restaurant’s online photos. Barely any crabstick or avocado. Hamachi had dried edges and a strong fishy smell, indicating it wasn’t fresh. The addition of teriyaki sauce felt like an attempt to mask poor-quality ingredients. Quality and portion did not justify the price.

My third time ordering takeout, and this time the cashier was nice and food came relatively quick. However, the food is overpriced for the portions that they give you today. A $15.50 rainbow roll feels more like a $10.00 roll at best in comparison to other sushi restaurants like Sushi Cushi or Yujiro. Another note is that the raw fish on the rainbow roll was not fresh, and had a terrible odor. I’ve eaten raw fish for years, in Winnipeg and in other countries, but this was one of the few moments where it was inedible (specifically the salmon). They also mask any flavour of the roll with loads of teriyaki sauce, wish is why I only noticed the odor when I took a bite. I would be very wary about ordering raw fish here.
