Their service is really bad in the evening waited 20 minutes for someone to take the order.

This is intended as feedback for the restaurant owner, not a review.

Shagun used to offer great food with freshness and excellent taste, and I frequently ordered from here. However, the quality, taste, and freshness have significantly declined. The bread pakora, mix veg pakora, and paneer pakora now consist almost entirely of besan (chickpea flour) with little to no stuffing or other ingredients. These items seem to be deep-fried multiple times, making them extremely hard to eat. If you compare your bread pakora and mix veg pakora with offerings from other Indian restaurants, the difference in quality and taste is quite noticeable.

Regarding the sweets, I ordered a mix of sweets and a box of motichoor laddoos. Unfortunately, none of them were fresh except for the petha.

This feedback is meant to highlight these concerns in the hope that the owner will take action to restore the quality, taste, and freshness that once made Shagun stand out.

Delicious food at a great price, including vegan options.

They are very awkward/borderline rude though. I don'tknow if it was a fluke because they had a large party in the restaurant and they were flustered because of that, or if it was because I am not Indian, or for some other reason, but I felt as though I were an outsider, being looked at weirdly by everyone in there. I went back in after eating to give my compliments about the food and the woman serving me literally said nothing and walked away to talk to someone else.

Tl;Dr - food is great, personality/social skills need an upgrade

Food is good as compared to other stores that’s why i used to visit at this store but i will give less than one star if it’s available. they are worst in service, most of the time i ordered on call when i am in hurry and heading to start my work but they don’t care about the order which they get on call. might be they feel that their customer won’t show up they don’t have trust on their daily routine customers. Either their morning staff or evening staff both are not paying attention of their customers who are ordering on call. They start preparing order once the customer show up at the store then they realize, owww you are the one who ordered on call ok wait we will prepare your order. So if you are in hurry and get the food as early as possible then this store is not suitable for you. Because they don’t care.

I ordered papdi chaat. And rather that actual dish I just got matri instead of papdi.and didn’t taste good.👎🏻👎🏻

You guys are the only one in city charging extra for this much of watered chutney! Your front staff could’ve put that tiny container in bag without arguing. $ 1.00 for this much ? No Thanks! Would go 1 block down to cilantro.

I am a regular customer here but I must mention that there is cashier lady who was wearing circular white earnings today …. She is very bossy and today she was passing mean reactions to her co worker lady who looks inexperienced … but doing this in front of the customer is not good…. I did pickup order on the phone … no one told the kitchen I had to wait …. Again food is good … but management should pay attention to the orders and the team cooperation

Very amazing place to eat at manjot is a great guy very much recommend everyone go eat here plz they offer very good prices and good food best in Winnipeg honestly
