I’ve worked at Shannon’s for almost a year now and I love it! We always have great drink specials and the food is delicious. The staff are fun, hardworking and knowledgeable, while management is supportive and appreciative. Our customers bring so much life to the pub making every shift enjoyable, and I look forward to seeing our loyal regulars on the daily. C’mon down for some fun and attentive service by yours truly! :)

Great place to have fun and decent price of drinks

The underground atmosphere was warm and inviting, with an old-time feel. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. I tried the braised onion soup with cheesy ciabata bread, for a starter. I had the ale cod and fries for the main dish. The soup wasn't overly seasoned and good. The cod was hot and the breading light. The waitress Maggie, was new, friendly and didn't have any recommendations. She was attentive and timely.
A nice neighborhood crowd for a quiz night. I was visiting from the States. If recommend this place for good pub food.

Went to go pay for a beer with debit. Bartender who is apparently the manager gives me a dirty look. I ask him if he wants me to pay with cash and if debit is a problem. Behaves like a baby and says I can pay with debit. Ask him what the big deal is, and he says it's odd that someone would pay for one drink with debit, after I had already paid and tipped. I immediately tell him thats so rude and pretty much as if he would say something like that. I finished my drink and left at midnight as opposed to 2 when the bar closed.

Nobody carries cash around anymore, don't have a debit machine or have a drink minimum if you don't want to take debit. Don't talk shit to people that are willing to leave the house and give you money. Like I'm baffled in this economy where businesses are closing every week that someone would be rude to someone trying to pay?

The service wasn’t great. The vibe was fun; people were great. Caught our server partaking in a less than professional hobby in the bathroom. Didn’t see her for a while after that. Order your drinks straight from the bar—otherwise, you may not see your server for a while. Had a great time with friends.

I’ve always loved this place. It’s been a place to hang out and relax and unwind from the hard days for me. My story with Shannons is like a lot of others. Simple, sweet, and VERY nostalgic. Which is why it pains me to say the following: The way myself and multiple other guests were treated on Friday night by the man who is the long time owner of this establishment is nothing short of disgusting. His words were degrading and terrible to put it mildly. I am shocked and appalled to my very core at being spoken to in such a way.

My coworkers and I visit Shannon’s quite often and we always have a blast, the staff is amazing, super friendly and they cater to your every need. Unfortunately my last visit, there was a strange man(who seemed quite intoxicated)sitting at the bar yelling at my friends, other guests and the staff. I raised my concern to the staff which they then told me it was nothing to worry about, so I didn’t bat an eye until I came to learn that the strange man was in fact, the owner of the establishment. Very disappointing/unprofessional. not a good look.

Normally I have such a great experience at Shannon's, the staff are amazing and always go above and beyond. Unfortunately last night was another story, there was a very intoxicated man sitting at the end of the bar being really obnoxious, yelling at the staff and customers, and causing a scene to the point of making me uncomfortable. When I asked the staff what was going on, they told me that they would deal with it. I later found out that the obnoxious drunk man was in fact the owner of Shannon's. Very unprofessional. Am not sure if I will return because of this incident, which is too bad because the staff are fantastic and frankly deserve better than what I witnessed last night.

The staff were amazing organized and friendly. Mad sure take a moment to talk and get to know the customer even though it was crazy busy. Servers were on point and quick and the bar staff were the same. Will continue to go there as the experience was the best I have experienced in Winnipeg. Everyone need to experience Shannon's the perfect little Irish Pub. Be proud of your staff they are the reason people keep coming back.

We went to shannon's to finish off a great date night with live music. The older bartender with the white shirt and black framed glasses ruined the entire expirence. I asked him what the drink specials were, and he rudely told me they were displayed when i walked in where i should have looked. I said i didn't see them. He was also rude to my partner, who tried to order us shots to bring back to the table along with two beers and declined the sale saying "you can blame the goverment". However, the waitresses at shannons are always very friendly and amazing, but this bartender may need to consider a new profession if he gets mad at someone asking the daily special.
