Sherwood's Lounge & Bistro

I recently just went here for the first time with a friend & we walked into the “lounge area” where a class full of construction workers were being taught a lesson; as if they were in a classroom, legitimately. The ‘teacher’ was loud, no one could enjoy their lunch nor private interactions with their friends/family. It was all around awkward and uncomfortable.
The food was awful, bare minimum taste & quality, I’d rather go to the chain restaurants in the area as they have more flavour and better atmosphere.
Our server was excellent though other than my soup being ice cold, apparently that’s a ‘thing’ they forget to mention. Not going back.

Went for the Le Burger Week offering and was not disappointed. It was delicious. Also had mushroom soup and it was also good. Will definitely visit again

Service was nonexistent, we had to find the server to get coffee, utensils and threatened to leave because we couldn't find her to pay the bill. Food was a 45 min wait for cold food. The ice water was OK. We won't be back.

Stopped in for a drink on the outside patio area and was not disappointed. I had heard they have great cocktails and the best whiskey sour in Transcona.

Service was excellent and they immediately brought us water and the menus when we sat down. The whiskey sour was indeed extremely good! I didn’t try the food this time but the menu was impressive and I was eyeing others food as it was brought out and it looked delicious.

Ambience outside is nice, with mixed seating types on the patio for hanging out with friends or having dinner. Inside the ambience wasn’t as good as it looked more like a cafeteria than a place I’d want to hang out and have drinks with friends. I will stick with the outside patio.

I will definitely be back to try new drinks and food.

Very disappointing experience. Service was slow. Took about 50mins to get our food after ordering and there was no one else dining. I got served the wrong meal, so they comped it. Unfortunately the chicken burger I was served was not very good. My dad ordered a cheese burger and it came out with no cheese...

Seems like a low quality hotel restaurant. Unless you're staying here I don't really recommend dining.

Had dinner here on a Friday and was quiet, not enough customers in my opinion because it is definitely worth checking out. The pizza flatbread and it was good paired with their mild hot sauce, honey garlic wings were very good, nice crispy glazed outer shell nice and juicy inside, tacos were were good but they ran out of pulled pork so we settled for chicken, rack of ribs is ok but the beans and mash were very good. The mocktail we ordered was also very good and refreshing. For dessert we tried the chocolate torte and it was a great end to the meal.

Overall we enjoyed our dinner here, service was very good and attentive, ambiance is nice and serene, we were able to enjoy our conversations without raising our voices. I bet the outdoor patio is going to be a big hit too!

Restaurant is nice and trendy and service started out good then i waited soo long for takeout order tacos with a side salad. The food was mediocre at best. The taco shell where dry at the ends, some parts cracked almost like reheated taco bread. little piece of chicken in the tacos, barely any lots of lettuce and peppers. i would definitely never order those tacos again. The house salad side though was very good sauce on side and some walnuts and cranberries.

Very good first impression! Very barren and spartan decor, so it could use some wall dressing or plants or something to make the space more inviting.
Otherwise, I found the staff pleasant and attentive to our needs. Anticipated refills on drinks, etc..

Food was on point. I ordered the tacos, and they were truly stuffed, so great portions and beautiful presentation .
Was a great time-out and relaxing experience with no loud music or other distractions.
It was easy to carry on a conversation without raising our voices.

Whenever my family from out of town come to visit this is one of our favourite places to visit! Cocktails are the best! I have tried a lot of things on the food menu and always enjoy my meal. The open sandwiches are amazing! We have been to open mic night and that is a lot of fun with great atmosphere! Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

We love Sherwood’s. Manager Richard is very welcoming and friendly. He really works hard to keep the menu interesting and varied. Great food, amazing cocktails and an extensive beer and wine selection. Wait staff are always delightful too! Thank you so much to David who served us today. So professional and so nice!
