Love their Apple cinnamon mead. Friendly staff and good prices
Amazing place, highly recommend the food and beverage
Ya know, never really been into this whole wine thing, being American and all. But I do have to say that this here Bottle is exactly what the DOCTOR (little American humor for ya) ordered. Fantastic taste, incredibly smooth, and aromatic doesn't even begin to touch on how this beaut smells.
All jokes aside I LOVE this wine and I'm legitimately not a wine drinker at all. Super friendly environment in their new bar as well. Cannot get enough of my doctor visits now ;)
Bought a few bottles of Shrugging Doctor at the Wolseley Farmer's Market, Sangria and Tropical Sangria, both were really great (Tropical was my fave). It's great to support local businesses, and I had no idea Winnipeg had wineries, glad I gave them a try. Haven't been to the restaurant, looks interesting, hope I get a chance to swing by, will update this review if I do!
Great food and drinks. Awesome atmosphere!
Shrugging Doctor was a wonderful place for our family to celebrate a milestone birthday! We enjoyed the tasting flights, and those who tried the Shrugging Doctor beer were impressed. The staff offered to turn up the lights above our table if our low-vision family member needed, and they worked quickly to get drinks and food out to us as soon as we ordered. The food was very good, fresh, hot, and the perfect amount to compliment our beverages. The sourdough flatbread with oil & vinegar was the table favorite- warm, crispy and simple paired with wine and cider. Also the Manitoba Charcuterie and olives were great to share. I would absolutely recommend a visit to Shrugging Doctor for a quiet date night, or a fun and different group event!
A little gem tucked away. We went to the Shrugging Doctor Beverage Company yesterday. The service was great, the wine and cider flights and the charcuterie board were delicious. We had a great time in the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend the Shrugging Doctor. You can even buy your favourite beverage on site, a win win.
Very much enjoy my visits to the Tasting Room! The Made in Manitoba charcuterie board is lovely, and the wines are absolutely delightful! My new favourite spot when in Winnipeg! ??
Loved this place! When you first walk in, it’s like you’re in a Victorian sitting room. Lots of space to move around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Live music on Thursdays and some Saturdays. They also host other types of events. So many delicious choices for the wine flights. Everything they sell can also be purchased to take home.
Fully wheelchair accessible. Lots of parking on the street.
Highly recommend!
Amazing place with great wine! I was not ready for the portion sizes. You definitely get what you pay for. I could live here.

Shrugging Doctor is a local gem in the world of wineries, offering a delightful array of wines crafted from a variety of grapes and fruits. Each variation is a testament to their commitment to quality and creativity. The winery’s lounge provides an inviting atmosphere where patrons can enjoy not only the exquisite wines but also a selection of palate cleansers and snacks that perfectly complement the beverages. Additionally, the inclusion of beer on their menu broadens the appeal to a wider audience.
All staff and owners of the business, I had the pleasure of meeting, are consistently pleasant and hospitable, adding to the overall positive experience. The ambiance, combined with their diverse and high-quality offerings, makes Shrugging Doctor a standout business in the community. I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking to enjoy a unique and memorable winery experience.
Bought two cases at St.Norbert farmers market. We really enjoyed at least two flavours of the mix. Wild berry and 50/50 are amazing, the strawberry was very good as well. I’m not saying no to the other flavours, they just weren’t for us. Each flavour is full … very full… this mango, might as well be eating one fresh. So if that’s your thing have at it :) looking forward to tasting other products from their line.
Step up Winnipeg and taste for yourselves … my preference isn’t yours, and I wouldn’t let yours be mine.
This was a great experience. When you first walk in, it's like you're in a Victorian sitting room. Completely wheelchair accessible. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Just bought a bottle of rosé at the St. Norbert Market. The bottle was $30, it was not drinkable. This could maybe called vinegar.
Upon entry, we were immediately greeted by the helpful staff, who gave us the tutorial on how to order wine flights, and invited us to seat ourselves wherever we pleased! We chose the lovely pink, Victorian cushioned couch area, which gave the venue a rich in classic atmosphere.
We found out from the staff that the location was hosting a speed dating night, which is such a cute idea - it looked like everybody had so much fun!
The flatbreads and paninis were fantastic, with generous portions! Best of all, all of the different wines they had were fantastic! Having reliable access to a local, Evan's sour cherry tree myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the sour cherry wine, but also enjoyed the casket aged raspberry wine! They also make a great mead! Their cab sauv was also amazing!
They had a lot of neat local touches, like the Tindall limestone flight trays from Stonewall, the Bothwell cheese, the De Luca's produce/ ingredients, the wines fermented from local fruits!
I will definitely be returning! Thanks so much for the great experience!
