Great food and atmosphere, poor service. I go to Smitty's during happy hour to get their happy hour deals. But I end up paying regular price for the items that are listed as "happy hour". This happened on 4 different occasions. I also leave a generous tip on top of paying. Which is going to stop as of today. There is no need to give someone a generous tip when they don't know how to do their job properly. I end up paying more for items that are listed otherwise.There was one associate at one time months ago named Terrance or Tyler I believe. Long hair male who wears nail polish, and has a few tattoo's, and hides behind a smile. He felt the need to complain about the percentage of beer I was drinking and let his ego talk. He was telling me that he drinks whisky only because it's stronger and my beer is weak. He needs to leave his ego at the door and mind his own business. I have no idea why he needs my validation when I mind my own business. Another incident, he seemed angry. When I ordered wings, he slammed my wings hard on the bar table and said, (enjoy your slop). That is disgusting behavior and I am baffled I get this type of service from Smitty's. Especially when I literally mind my own damn business. Hire and train staff who aren't insecure, rude human beings to your customers. (He's the reason why I stopped tipping months ago). Insecure, rude, ego driving human beings don't deserve tips.

Nicely renovated. I stop by now and then to have breakfast because I don't like cooking for myself or eating by myself. They seem to enjoy my company I think. Approximately two weeks I had the pleasure of dining at Garden City Smitty's after playing volleyball with my friends. I commend the outstanding service provided by Bryant. From the moment we were seated until the end of our meal, he went above and beyond to ensure my friends and I had memorable dining experiences.When my friends and I arrived at the restaurant, Bryant greeted us with a smile, creating a warm and welcoming environment.When my friends and I got seated, I couldn't decide which food to eat for lunch. Bryant exemplified his in-depth knowledge of the menu, offering recommendations and expertly answering any questions I had about the dishes.Throughout the meal, Bryant remained attentive, ensuring that our glasses of water were never empty and that each course was delivered promptly and carefully. It’s probably best if you don’t go here. I ordered the all day breakfast, an eggs Benedict with soft poached eggs. The first time it came it looked like I had one full boiled egg and one half of a boiled egg on my bennys, so I sent it back nicely and asked for it to be remade with soft poached eggs like I asked. After about 15mins, when I was told it would only take a couple minutes, I was brought the same exact plate with just two new eggs. This wouldn’t have been a problem, but since my hashbrowns had been sitting under the heat lamp for 15+ mins they were super soggy and the hollandaise sauce was coagulated. I let that slide and tried my eggs again, they were runny and I was happy with that. I took a single bite before I realized the eggs were almost completely raw, not just the yoke, but the egg white as well. I don’t know if this was to spite me for sending them back the first time, but it was awful. I asked to just take the plate off the bill out of fear from getting sick, it was pretty sickening to look at as well after taking a bite of it. So, I would recommend saving yourself the chance of getting sick and just skipping this place. Especially since our server informed us that this all day breakfast restaurant has “hit or miss eggs” after the fact…

Went there today because I love having fresh breakfast. My partner got the steak and eggs, and I got the meatlovers skillet. The steak and eggs with 'poutine' were decent, but the skillet was horrendous.The shredded hashbrowns were severely undercooked, and the meat on top was almost charred. I don't go to a restaurant to get worse food than I can make at home.It was so disappointing that despite being extremely hungry, I ate maybe 15% of the skillet because it was terrible enough to kill my appetite. The server was nice and asked if she could bring me anything else to make it up to us, but it was the worst meal I've had in a while, and I wasn't hungry anymore.BUT they didn't even offer to take a portion off the bill, which is common practice when the kitchen messes up this bad on a meal. And I didn't wanna cause a scene to get the cost removed.The total bill came up to 80 bucks, and including tip, it was $93 coz well, not the server's fault. Yeah, not again.
