Smitty's Restaurant & Lounge - Winnipeg St. James

Great food and great service. We will be back.

I am a big fan of Smitty's, I am from Calgary where there isn't a location near by, so whenever I am travelling to Winnipeg, I stop by here, some of the best bar style nachos, and their wings are great too. Reasonable prices and specials!

Param was helping me out today, and he was very friendly and polite, zero complaints. Makes me want to open up a franchise myself haha. Actually my only feedback would be to use a slightly larger container for the salsa / sour cream, even if that means a bit less cheese to offset the food costs.

Had breakfast here this morning. Excellent all around. Service, food and atmosphere. Very clean restaurant.

I like to try new restaurants before I can take my family to them. I went there for breakfast and I liked the atmosphere and the service but imagine my disappointment when I found out that every classic breakfast contain pork (sausage, bacon, back bacon...) and no substitution to turkey or chicken bacon or turkey sausage for people who can't eat pork like Muslims and Jewish people. The waiter suggested to add an extra egg but that does not replace the protein I was looking forward to. So that's why I give you 1 star for the food!

Good place to grab a bite .. open late.

The food was quick after we ordered and very delicious there mashed potatoes and gravy were so good I had to order 2 more scoops, our writer Vince was also a awesome waiter and helped me find the promo code for there free mini doughnuts when u sign up on their app.

Love going here for wings! I usually eat on the lounge side with my group but today we ate on the restaurant side and had a really good experience with our server. Super friendly guy. I think his name is Vince?

We had the best server!she took care of us so well and always asked if we needed anything. Sheridan was so polite and gave us amazing service:) I would definitely go here again, we felt very welcome and we loved the food.

I came to smittys a couple days ago and shoutout to Rylee for being our server that night! She did an outstanding job sustaining our needs and making sure our experience at smittys was amazing!! She has just started serving and already she’s doing a great job! She would always keep our drinks refilled and check in on us every so often. The food was delicious and we will 100% be coming back soon!

I have eaten at Smittys many many times, I went recently on Tuesday, my server was Rylee! She was extremely welcoming and friendly! The most gorgeous smile, she even cracked a few jokes with my table which made the communication and experience that much better! Even tho it was a wing night and she was busy she made sure to check up on my table and she was so kind! She got us the things we needed and did it with a smile on her face! Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant! We were treated with the upmost respect and kindness by her!
