A crowded place that is only good for group games. The reception and guidance are very poor. The staff is few and mostly tired. The variety of drinks is limited. The prices are almost average to high. It is recommended mostly for games.

Great poutine, lots of funny picture, got pulled over for the second time after singing straight out of Compton in this establishment. I think they have something against NWA and Easy E. It's a great place but obviously untrustworthy for strangers. Steer clear if you're not from Winnipeg, or if you like rap. I expect an apology from WPS at some point. Karaoke singers were good. Funny pictures were funny. They love to make fun of Michael Buble for some reason. Is his face really that funny?

My friends and I had and extremely uncomfortable experience at Sonix Bar & Grill. We paid for an hour on the pool table, but the manager Simon, stood only a few feet away pretending to be on his phone while watching us the entire time. The female bartender followed us into the bathroom nearly every time one of us went, which felt invasive and inappropriate. Three of my friends were drinking, but my partner and I were completely sober, and at no point were any of us behaving inappropriately or causing problems. Despite that, Simon repeatedly told my friends to sit down when it wasn't their turn and kept warning us not to bump into the people at the next table, something that only happened once or twice. It's a bar with pool tables close to each other, it'll happen. His constant monitoring made it impossible to relax or enjoy ourselves. When one of us asked him why he was watching us, Simon became aggressive, started yelling, and even got in our faces before accusing one of us of smoking in the bathroom, which didn't happen. Then kicked us out after trying to argue with every single one of us. We felt targeted and disrespected. All of us are indigenous, two of us are same sex couples. My partner and I were especially disappointed because we actually liked Sonix and live nearby, so it used to be one of our go-to spots. After this experience, we don't feel comfortable returning. We hope Simon takes a serious look at how he treats customers. No one deserves to be made to feel unwelcome or harassed for simply trying to enjoy a night out.

SIMON, THE OWNER, IS #1. ALWAYS SMILING AND JOKING. Samantha is not only incredibly gorgeous, but she is also the greatest bartender in the world. An excellent spot to unwind and feel at ease
this place kicked out my friend for no reason, and told us we had to leave because we were “standing”. we were cheering for people singing and spending money on drinks. literally the most discriminatory place i’ve ever been to. no one go here it’s not worth your time.

Sonix is mostly good but has one problem -- the owner is friendly, but he clears away "empties" all the time. Many people had drinks that were literally half full and he'd clear them away when we mostly weren't paying attention. I caught him doing it 4 or 5 times with beer, mixed drinks, soft drinks, and water. Very scummy behaviour to try to get people to buy more drinks. Other than that, it was nice. It has a lot of pool tables, places to sit and chill, and a dance floor with a disco ball. The woman behind the bar is friendly and efficient.
