We visited with high expectations. While the ambiance was charming and the service great, the entrance could use some cleaning. The food was flavorful, but the portion sizes were disappointing and didn't justify the price. Our meal, for a couple, consisting of one appetizer (Pâté au Porc et à l’Agneau) two mains (MB beef tenderloin & steelhead trout) and one shared side (Gnocchi|) cost $125 before tips, and we left hungry. Mains not including sides felt particularly odd. Given that similar quality food can be found in other restaurants with better portions for the same price, we won't be returning.

This was a unique dining experience. The restaurant is quaint and charming yet also very amusing. I love the use of all the vintage/eclectic dishes, it’s a beautiful touch. The menu is fantastic, Fresh ingredients with amazing flavours! There is something for everyone, we tried almost everything. The beef tartar was amazing, asparagus and beets are a must try, my daughter loved the house jam and fresh oysters is so nice to see on a menu. This is an impressive restaurant, I highly recommend.

Started with oysters and the beets tartare. Both were delicious. Our server was amazing, helped us choose dishes and answered all of our questions. The place is a little dark. Reading the menu by candlelight is a little challenging. Not enough to keep me away though. A cozy atmosphere that doesn’t disappoint. Highly recommend.

We came knowing how good the food is.....but didn't realize how AMAZING this place is! The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, all of it is tremendous! As well, the servers. Every one of them was incredible. If I could rate this place properly, 500 out of 5.

I visited Sous Sol with my son on April 23rd. We haven't been out to eat in public since COVID. The atmosphere was so chill and cool - we felt comfortable immediately. The wait staff were wonderful and the food was even better. I did struggle to find the entrance, but a quick Google search shows a picture of the front door. If you get a chance, please try it out. Thank you for a great dining experience!
Everything was absolutely delicious; one of the top restaurants in the city by far. The mood was really cool in there. It wasn't rushed, and they allowed for a nice relaxing experience, especially if you made a reservation. It's quite dark, though

Everything was great, loved the atmosphere and food. Beef tartare, oysters and bone marrow were nice.
Only con was that there was barely any bone marrow in the bone and was not worth 19$ for bread and a tablespoon of marrow.
