Wasn't our idea to attend but a friend invited us out. We wouldn't return to visit on our own. The service was good but slow. Couldn't find fault in our server she was polite, prompt and respectful. Hmshe handled allergies perfectly. It would seem just busy with a lot of tables. Food was okay. Nothing special overall. I felt like I could have made the steak and shrimp better at home. The fries were great though but I wouldn't pay $30 again for ok main and great sides.

I recently visited State & Main for the first time. The calamari was enjoyable, and my sister’s salmon dish was well-prepared. However, I ordered the chipotle lime chicken salad, which was unfortunately far too spicy to eat — to the point where it caused a burning sensation on my lips after only a few bites. When I brought this to the attention of our server, I was told that others had also raised similar concerns, yet no action was taken to address the issue. I was still charged for the dish, despite it being inedible. Overall, the service was disappointing, and this led to an unfortunate first impression.
