I went there at 9:55 Pm on 15 November( Friday night) and the girl working ran inside employment space showing hand to me that they are close however the Open Sign was On. And i got there to buy a drink and a cookie. Should hire some other employees.

This Subway is only half a block from where I live and across the street from the U of W. I've eaten inside regularly for many years. This however may change. The restaurant had a very nice remodeling a little while back, and it is generally very clean and well managed. But there are serious problems with individuals and groups just coming in and filling containers and cups fished out of the garbage at the softdrink machine. The floor often gets sticky with spilled fluid as they run in and race out. This is so unsanitary. I only buy bottled softdrinks and bottled water because of the potential health risks. The area has many individuals with addiction and mental health problems. During each of my last dozen or so dine-in visits there has been one or more bad behaviour incidents. The generally young staff seem powerless to thwart what is happening. On the next block, the very nice new pizza restaurant ended up turning their softdrink machine around so that only their staff can now serve softdrinks, ice and water. They still give water out to those who request it, but this change has stopped the stampede of people helping themselves to free softdrinks and messing up the floor. It has also greatly lowered the bad behaviour and disruptive incidents. It now feels much safer to dine-in at the pizza restaurant than at the Subway on the very next block. I may now use this Subway for takeout more and dine-in much less. If the Subway owner wants to further improve this otherwise good location, the solution could be to relocate this softdrink, ice and water machine so that only staff have control of dispensing beverages to customers and to those who request water. This would make the restaurant a better and safer place for customers and staff. It could end up being a prudent solution and investment.

Just go to the Vietnamese place next door. It’s cheaper, way better, and the staff is really friendly.Both subs I got here were rock hard stale and the toppings were just stuffed on top of the side opening of the bread with the sauce poured on top of them, not inside the sandwich at all, so that when they were wrapped everything was just squeezed out and a complete mess. Both sandwiches were done exactly the same and completely bricked. Just a saucy mess beside some stale bread. And this cost $30 CAD? And we’re supposed to tip now? It’s insane to me that this is what I’m supposed to be cool with for $30. I can leave bread overnight and roll it around in some mayo and rusty lettuce without paying Subway for the pleasure.I really wanted my money back, but I want more to never go inside this Subway again, so I’m just taking the L.
