Really great sushi spot in Burnaby. Everything we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and tasted amazing. The fish was high quality, the rolls were well-balanced, and the portions were solid. You can tell they care about consistency and freshness.
Definitely one of the better sushi places in the area — I’ll be coming back for sure and would recommend it to anyone looking for good sushi.

This was a surprise spot for us. We were just driving around trying to figure out where to have dinner and my kids wanted some katsu. We thought, “ok, here’s a Japanese restaurant, they probably have Katsu.” So we walk in; it was nice quiet and really clean. There was only another table that was there before us. The server just told us to grab whatever table we like and she will be with us right away..
The menu was pretty diverse and they have lots of nigiris and makis. Our server came right away, brought us drinks and suggested a few things. We got: chicken katsu and rice for the kids, a few nigiris and makis, I got tantanmen, assorted tempura, agedashi tofu and Deluxe calamari roll.
Everything came right away and we chowed down. My kids like the Katsu and rice and snacked on the vegetable tempuras and makis. The tempura was delicious, nice crispy batter and shrimp and the veggies were hot and tender. My wife liked the tofu and the rolls and her Chirashi bowl. Overall, everything tasted delicious and clean, there was no greasy smells or flavours. I think this is our new favourite Japanese spot in Winnipeg.
I ordered a take our order and the food was good and the portions were great, the staff was very helpful and friendly although I specifically asked for extra wasabi while taking the order so that if they’d need to charge me extra they would and unfortunately ended up not getting any at all, which was upsetting after making sure they wrote it down, but overall it was good and I’d order again.

My husband and I have gone to Sushi Hon multiple times now and the service, product and taste is always superb. Rarely do we write reviews, although we rely on heavily on others so often, but this spot deserves one. Our go to sushi spot in Winnipeg!
Service was a little bit slow but they might have been short staffed. The staff there were polite. Sushi was amazing.

The food took a really long time to come out. Most of the staff seemed busy handling takeout orders instead of dine-in customers. After 30 minutes, we only got our drinks and one of the dishes we ordered. Giving 3 stars only considering how tough the economy is in Canada right now.
