The sushi and soup here is so fresh and amazing and the people running the shop were so incredibly personable and genuine. Me and my friends were only in Winnipeg for three days and we ate there twice because it was such a good experience. If you are in the area, stop by, you won't be disappointed by how much love, charm, and flavour can come from one little storefront.

Found a long piece of hair in the bottom of my sushi roll. Also, they charge for soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger separately. Will be going to other sushi restaurants.

Pretty disappointed, my partner and I used to come here all the time and they had excellent prices and really good portions, Recently have been there, and there is barely any fish in the rolls.. especially the Bakudan roll covered with Panko, They sell this to you covered in Panko crumbs. You can’t really see how much fish you’re getting underneath the roll. I picked up two Bakudan rolls and realized one of the rules had so much less fish than the other. Not sure if it’s always inconsistent like this now, but I was expecting a reasonable amount of fish and not just a sliver. The rolls are mostly rice and overpriced now.

Sushi June is in the Eaton Place food court so it's food court atmosphere. Quite good sushi and it's 30% off at the end of the day which is great timing for a Jets pregame meal.
