It's the best sushi restaurant in St. James. They make great rice, fresh ingredients, and nice staff. Small quite little place. I read some weird reviews, and all our orders and sushi have always been good.
We've been getting sushi here for 15 years. Tried many different places all over Winnipeg....however we keep coming back.

I recommend their spicy crunch shrimp, angry shrimp, chicken rolls, california, dynamite, orange yammy, spicy crunch calamari, takoyaki, philly roll, caterpiller, rainbow, dragon, tiger, volcano, mango fried, scallop rolls, and bakkudan rolls. Their miso soup, yakisoba, and udon noodles are also good.

Every item we ordered was fresh and delish !! Just the right amount of rice on the rolls. The sashimi was exceptional. Thank you Sushi Maru. Keep up the good work. You guys rock.

Friendly staff and a clean place to eat. Service is pretty good too. I also dont mind their philly, catterpiller, and volcano rolls.
Favorite sushi to get in Winnipeg. Never had a bad dish and the service is great. Prices are fairly reasonable as well.

Today I called to order a yam tempura roll and avocado roll as I always do and told him I have a fish allergy I asked politely if he could prepare on a clean cutting board and clean knife? He said yes then I heard him call out my order and not say anything about the allergy and said to come in 11 minutes. I asked again to remind them about the allergy he replied I have no time for this you cannot eat here and he hung up on me. I have been a customer there for 10 years and will never ever eat there again very upsetting and uncalled for!
