Very good sushi, atmosphere and staff! It's a shame that they are not open later on Fridays & Saturdays

First time going after hearing great things. Service was on the slower side. I ordered GF and they have many options, good selection. My downside was the upcharge to make it GF. Most places i've been i have never paid more than $3.99; specifically two others in the area are $1.99, however this establishment wanted $6.99 to make it GF! This made my $6.99 roll, $13.98. I asked for a different roll, she then said $5.99 extra for that specific roll which made no difference at that point. The cucumber roll i got had every piece broken, falling apart immediately, however the firecracker roll was great and held together! 4 rolls & two apps were $72. i wont recommend for GF, there are cheaper and better options nearby. However, my partner enjoyed his food.

Walked in there and just stood awkwardly as staff didn’t recognize that they had customers trying to be seated. Waited for 5 min and left.

Tried this restaurant yesterday with my family, service was quick for a busy Thursday evening. They are GENEROUS with their filling in the sushi rolls, and prices are reflective of that. The fatty salmon nigiri was my favourite, so delicious and fresh. My husband loved the Philadelphia roll, and my 4 year old enjoyed her hearty Avacado roll. The dining area isn’t huge but quaint, it was very hot inside the restaurant while we were dining but, that would be our only complaint. We just moved to the area and will be regulars at this restaurant! Looking forward to our next visit.

I couldn’t believe my eyes after ordering takeout from Sushi N today. After moving back to Winnipeg from Vancouver I couldn’t believe the prices this place charges for below average sushi and the minuscule portions they give in comparison. $9.50 for a smoked salmon roll and you’re given 6 tiny rolls that were inedible I had to spit out as it smelt so strong of fish. $6.25 for wakame salad and the smallest portion ever. I got all regular rolls not even specialty rolls and spent over $50 and I had to call back thinking they forgot a roll as they were so small when I initially saw them. Will most definitely not be returning.
Chopped scallop roll for takeout was a joke. Never had a roll with this much tempura type filling in my life. Wouldn't come back

Great service and amazing Sushi! Our server Jin was very friendly and helpful but not pushy. 5 stars for Jin! Definitely recommend this place!
Wow the portion sizes are fantastic compared to 99 percent of sushi spots. No paper thin tuna or salmon here.
Absolutely fantastic experience! We ordered the Seafood Yaki Udon, Sunomono Salad, Tiger Roll, and Alaska Roll — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The Yaki Udon had a rich, savory taste with just the right balance of seafood, and the rolls were beautifully presented with great texture and taste. The staff were warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. You can really feel the care put into both the food and the service. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!!!
We went with our 8 year old celiac daughter. She loves sushi but usually can't get gluten free at restaurants because they don't keeps things separate. They made her a special Dynamite roll and she loved it! She was thrilled and felt fine later. My husband and I also thought our rolls were fantastic!

Favorite sushi place in Winnipeg. Great quality and very affordable:)
I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember, both for takeout and dine-in, and it’s always my top choice for sushi! The food is consistently fresh and delicious, with perfectly portioned servings. Their New Hampshire Roll is my favourite—it’s hard to find a roll like this one (with bacon in it, yum!) at other sushi spots. Highly recommend this place!
If you want to get a good value and get spoiled with great portions, I highly recommend Sushi N. I am always looking for sushi that does not skimp on the fish when making their food but also does not charge an arm and a leg . Sushi N checks off all my boxes. Fresh, great portions and good price.
Some of the pieces were so plentiful that they were hard to even get in your mouth. My new favorite spot.
This is a great quant little sushi place. Highly recommend for a date or a lunch visit
Me and my boyfriend went to Sushi N on Monday when they’re only open 4-8. At first we were only greeted by one of the chefs (who was overall friendly) but not really engaged. But that’s to be expected as the restaurant just opened! We still got to order fairly quickly and a waitress eventually began serving us and she was great! Just friendly, super sweet, and was extra mindful whether we had enough napkins, drinks, soy sauce, etc.
Anyways, the actual sushi was great. Their portions are huge compared to some other places I’ve visited. In Winnipeg, there’s always restaurants that offer ‘special rolls’ and with it comes more sushi but the rolls themselves are still quite small. Sushi N begs to differ. I ordered a few rolls considering this fact and when they delivered my tray my eyes widened at the portions. I’m not kidding. If you don’t order any appetizers ahead of time you can easily fill up on one or maybe even two of the special rolls they offer. Huge and filling but also delicious and bursting with flavour!
I also got their salmon sashimi (it’s one of my favourite dishes) and it was to be expected; delicious. However, for 30$+ it is steep. They give you 8 pieces and to be fair they’re FAT chunks with a texture that melts in your mouth. The only thing is that I’ve had similar sashimi at Sushi Terrace for 13-15$.
Overall, a great sushi venue. You get what you pay for and more in my opinion. I prefer it over a lot of other similar places I visited recently. I haven’t had their noodles or other dishes, but I hope it’s as elevated and as delicious as the sushi!
