I just discovered Sweet Retreat in the south end of Winnipeg, and I am beyond impressed! Their desserts are absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully made, and full of flavor. You can tell they put so much care into every treat. The store itself is sweet and welcoming, creating the perfect atmosphere to indulge in something special. The staff was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for amazing sweets and top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

We had ordered a custom cake here and although they did a great job decorating the cake, the taste was 1/10. 99% sure they used boxed cake mix and that’s quite absurd seeing as the cake was $120. Nobody enjoyed the cake not even the birthday boy which was quite embarrassing. I would not recommend the cakes. (Haven’t tried any of their other desserts so can’t comment on that) very disappointing first and last experience.

The lady that helped us was so lovely, she gave us as much info for custom cake just to make sure we’re satisfied. She definitely covered all her grounds just to make my wife so happy for her birthday. She also warned us about eating black icing and how it dyes our mouth, she wasn’t lying about it and it was so fun! But great service, very knowledgeable and just a wonderful person!!

I've used Sweet Retreat twice now, once for my partners birthday, and today I ordered 6 for our anniversary. I am never disappointed! I wrote a short request, and it was honored. The cupcakes are amazing, and they look so cute! I love your bakery and will be ordering all my deserts from here.

I was driving by on my way to friends’ for dinner one day and decided on a whim to pop in and see what this place was about. Grabbed an assortment of sweets and everyone agreed they were all delicious. I’ve been back a few times and everything I’ve tried has been great. Service is always super friendly too!
