Tavern United Garden City

Wouldn't know about food as we were not even approached in over half an hour. Not one waitress came up to the whole area while we were sitting there leaving dozens of people un served.

I can’t give enough stars to this place. I have been coming to tav for years and as soon as you walk in the door you feel welcomed. I have celebrated so many milestones, birthdays, jets games and ordinary Friday nights with friends here. There’s always something on special that doesn’t break the bank. They are great to book in parties upstairs for retirements, birthdays or whatever you are wanting to celebrate! All the people who have served me over the years, Sarah, Tyler, Miguel, DK, Marquin, and so many more I can’t list them all…have made this place what it is. So many memories are made here!! Love you all ❤️

Got our order wrong. Not sure if the server was shy or just being rude intentionally. But she didn’t even ask us how we wanted our bills and then didn’t give the option to tip. was supposed to be nice birthday drinks but it was just uncomfortable.

So so good here! I love the atmosphere and food. The wait could be shorter since I ate on a day where there’s less than 10 parties in the pub, but I still recommend 😊

Worst service ever. We have given Tavern United so many opportunities to do better and it just continues to disappoint.

From the moment we arrived, there was one server working and she started off with excuses. We dine out frequently and this was the absolute worst service we have ever encountered. When she brought our food, she said she would bring us refills for our sodas. 10-15 minutes went by, I dislike eating my meal without a drink, so I finally walked up to the bar and she started with more excuses. I calmly told her I don’t care about her excuses and walked away. She actually raised her voice and yelled at me for not caring about her excuses. I’ve never been yelled at in a restaurant. Yelling at a customer is outrageous behaviour. I won’t tolerate disrespectful people. Don’t have to.

Horrible experience and the last time we eat at Tavern United. We will miss their smash burger, it is very delicious but not worth the awful dining experience.

Personally, I love this place. Such good wings and service from EVERYONE. ESPECIALLY D.K, Tyler, Marc Quin at the bar :) made my night with my friend a great one, will definitely be coming back! Everytime I’ve been here it’s been warm and inviting and I’m always taken care of!

Update
Just ate in on a Thursday. Got an order of wings and an order of shrimp. Ate my shrimp and 1 wing (was full) I was told that I’m unable to take leftovers home because the wings were on sale. What a garbage establishment, was forced to pay $10.99 for 1 so so chicken wing. Won’t ever go back!!!

Absolutely the worst website for online ordering. The garden city location won’t let you add food. They advertise 20% off if you order online. They found a good way not to honour that discount by making it so you can’t order online. Scam company

When waitress gave us our plates and we started distributing it, OMG there’s a freaking one whole fake nail in one of the plates, call the waitress and yes she was grossed about it and apologized and the table we have to asked to wipe it down for us andthe waitress is not very attentive. They should have given us a complimentary food for not making any scene. This happened last Sunday Aug. 17, 2025 around 7ish. Tavern Mcphillips location.
