We went there because of James Roque. Arrive at the venue at 8:05pm and the host told us our waiter is Taylor. Waited till 8:35pm, still no people showed up to greet us while we saw people came later than us have been served. So we waived to a girl and told her we would like to see our waitress. 10 mins later, still nobody came, so my partner went to the bar and ordered the drink by himself. Then the waitress came and told me we need to wait until she finished all her orders with the rest of the groups. I told her we were waiting since 8:05pm. She said everyone came in at the same time. I told her we have been waiting since 8:05 when nobody was there. She would call her manager… I told her go ahead… Another waitress came 5 mins later and apologized to the whole situation. She was so polite and service was amazing. So we decided to stay for the whole show.
This is the first time we went to the Basement. I have been working in the hospitality industry over 15 years, can’t believe 1st impression of basement is like that. Very disappointed. I would say if you are looking for a good comedy show, that’s a good place to start, but if you are looking for a good service. Please don’t hold your expectations too high!

Really neat place. Great comedians, much more authentic than the "other" clubs. Drinks and service were great. Pub food decent. It is nice that you can come early, and stay later without being rushed out. Great staff, friendly and multi-aged patrons. 4.5 stars but my suggestion: The bathrooms need a reno, and maybe tone down the scented candles (which do suit the vibe but were a bit strong). We would definitely go back.

Neat place and atmosphere. Saw a comedy show here, was good. Not a huge menu but a decent selection. Food was pretty tasty. Good flavors. Good selection of drinks; wine, beer, cocktails. Prices are average. The service was a bit slow and we ended up having to order two drinks at once or else we’d be waiting forever. Friendly staff. The bathrooms could use a splash of paint.
What an incredible experience right from the front door until the end of the evening. Amazing entertainment and staff. Will definitely be frequenting here.
