I’ve found my new “cheat day” breakfast place when I’m visiting Winnipeg. I get the Day Breaker. The potatoes are cooked perfectly. Eggs are cooked soft, medium or hard according to your preference. Bacon is thin-sliced crispy but not over-cooked. Sausages and ham are similarly cooked to perfection. The fruit bowl is fresh. I’ve had the dine-in, the take out and delivery (Door Dash). Cannot recommend enough. I

Had hot roast beef served on an open grilled piece of bread, with an order of potatoes & gravy. Great taste and a good proportion meal.

Came for the varenyky and farmer sausage, was not disappointed. I believe both were made by families in the Winkler/Altona area. Soup of the day was cabbage borscht, which was wonderful. Simple, quick, reminded me of home.

Nice little spot, they only seem to play Coldplay music, which is ….interesting :P

The Don Restaurant is a total hidden gem in Winnipeg. This place has a super chill vibe, perfect for grabbing a tasty breakfast or lunch. Their perogies are the bomb, but honestly, everything I've tried there is delicious. Pancakes, omelettes, sandwiches - they've got it all!

A gem downtown! They have amazing Mennonite foods like cracklings, borscht, gloms and farmer sausage but more “regular” fare as well. I’ve been here a million times with different people and never had a bad meal

Not good. Paid $17 to get a small cup of soup, a tiny Greek salad soaked in about 3 tablespoons of oil and a single piece of “garlic” bread. The lettuce they used had browned and the toast wasn’t even buttered.
Will be going to Robins to get a sandwich as this was really bad.

We stopped in on our first trip to Winnipeg. The staff was super nice. The food was very good, reasonably priced and had a good portion size. We'll come back, when we visit again!

Les Funk

Great food and service. Was there twice and both times had to endure only Taylor Swift music throughout the whole meal. Not a fan.
