This restaurant full of the prepared food and the food are very disgusting, if you are a student who living in the campus you must also to pay for the meal plan, it is not cheap. And also some of the stuff are very rude and the environment of this restaurant are very noisy, the student will talk very loudly so that you cannot have a good emotion to eat.

Plates are never clean! I have seen piles of dirty plates and today I grabbed a plate from the “clean plates” but I was unfortunate enough to grab a plate with filthy rotting food stuck to the top, my hands were covered it rotting onion from the plate, I grabbed several more plates and they were all sticky and had crumbs and sauce all over the bottoms and some even the tops! I gave up on the plates and simply grabbed a bowl which was mostly clean. Staff do not listen to any issues or take them seriously. My girlfriend asked specifically for one of the options at the grill, and they completely ignored her and gave her the wrong item, this is unfortunately a repeating occurrence with the staff. I have also asked for a veggie burger in the past, because the “beef” burgers taste horrible here and also contain strange additives. They once again ignore me and gave me the slimy beef patty. The Fresh Food Company is an ironic name for a company that prioritized profit over any quality. They use boxed eggs, overly salty food, and cut their protein with cheaper products such as old rice or beans I have seen them advertise their food as healthy and as a student who is studying food science and human nutrition, I know that it isn’t healthy to eat more than your daily value of sodium in one meal and to eat as much saturated fat as they put in their food. The salad bar more often than not has old disgusting lettuce and I have grabbed food with ANTS earlier in the semester and finding flies and dead bugs is also a common occurrence in the salad! The lack of care for students who are paying 5000 or more dollars each, per year to eat here… Not by choice but via a mandatory meal plan, the Fresh Food Co is pathetic and NO ONE SHOULD EVER EAT HERE UNLESS YOU ARE UNLUCKY ENOUGH TO BE FORCED INTO A MANDATORY MEAL PLAN if you are a first year student in residence. This shouldn’t even be legal. The staff here are horribly rude. There is only 2 staff members who treat anyone like actual people, one of them is the lunch greeter and the other is the manager with a long beard. When I come in here for lunch I am usually greeted with someone who will not speak a single word to me and will drop my meal card when she has finished swiping it rather than handing it to me. The lack of communication and respect for customers who are literally forced to be here is astonishing. If I could give it less than a 1 star review I would. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELF TO THE HORROR THAT IS “FRESH FOOD COMPANY” two more issues I have come by are the only fruit that is put out for us to eat is rotting bananas and apples or oranges. And the tables are almost always dirty perpetually. I have almost never been lucky enough to sit at a clean table.

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are lacking and the staff do not take these dietary restrictions seriously!

The food is kind of a hit and miss kinda deal. Some days the food can be really good, and other days it may be disgusting. Most of the time, it is bland and has little to no flavour. The chicken I don't usually have a problem with. The Pizza I hate, it's usually hard and crunchy, with very little flavour. Either I'm just pizza'd out or the pizza is actually bad.I notice that the food is probably made this way to have a one size fits all serving, including dietary restrictions, vegetarian, etc. I get that, but still, the food could taste better. The main thing is that I purchased an unlimited meal plan, so unless you purchase that, it may not always be worst coming here. For me it feels like free food because it's under my residence bill. But if it could taste better as mentioned, it would make my bill more worth it.

Food is terrible! Chicken is always bland, unseasoned and boiled even when the menu says it’s jerk chicken . When you live in MSH or Pembina Hall residence you are forced to go on a meal plan and it’s a little unfair how bad the food considering what we pay. I hope they improve!(The above review was form a few months ago. Honestly I do feel like they’re trying hence why I’ve decided to give them 5 stars! It’s not restaurant food but it’s definitely pretty good for a company that caters to hundreds of students everyday.. I love the specials they have every week too. )

If you like nothing but carbs, this place is great. If you're looking for protein, you're better off almost anywhere else on campus. Most dishes are just cheap filler and the only decent things are metered out by staff. Getting a balanced meal here is near impossible.

This place needs a touch up. THERE WAS A BUG IN MY FOOD!!Some of the people who work here are absolutely rude, it’s crazy. Idk how they still have a job. The food is not worth what students pay for. They don’t even give you a full sandwich haha. They serve a lot of the same cheap food. The one lady at the front is the sweetest person ever tho! There are times i do enjoy my meal even tho it is not in fact “fresh”.

The Food court is satisfactory depending on your goal when eating.Health is where the food court shines. There is plenty of salad, protein, and produce they have available, and the ability to eat at your own capacity.Function and flexibility is neutral as they restrict hours on the weekends and often get overcrowded on evening hours. It’s usually not a quick bite in the middle of the day due to its awkward location on campus.Taste and enjoyable is where it lacks as it is a food court focused on quantity.

The staffs over here is very rude. Today I was standing in a line to pick food so Infront of me there where two people standing asking for halal meat. So when it’s my turn was also asked for halal meat because I am a Muslim girl. She took my plate gave me I also ask to give some noodles she was starring at me with a rude look and smack a little portion of the noodle into my plate. It was really embarrassing for me. I didn’t tell her anything. But just because I am brown girl and also Muslim she did this attitude with me. This is ridiculous. Yesterday I was taking a last piece of pizza into my plate as that was last piece I couldn’t pick it up with the spoon so I used my hand to push in to pick up. The lady standing there yelling at me not to use my hand. I know that was my fault. But she shouldn’t have to yell she can tell me nicely. The staff have to change their behaviour. Because I am paying for the food I am not eating free over here.

The manager's attitude was abysmal. Drives away new students and has a very short temper.

Everything has decreased in quality, except the behavior of the kitchen and morning staff.
