My birthday celebrations took us to Keg St.James, and as past experience, it was an easy choice. I flipped from my usual wedge salad to a ceasar, had the popular baseball sirloin and topped off with a lobster tail. Rounding out the plate was a twice baked potato, mushrooms, green beans and roasted beets. And of course a couple of loaves of sourdough bread. Ordered nachos in the bar, barely any cheese on it. The guacamole was dry and brown. I believe it was under the heat lamps, but not too sure our prime rib sliders were cold and I know it was busy, but the waitress barely came around.
As always, The Keg delivered excellent service and food, but I was very disappointed that my favorite J. Lohr red wine was unavailable. It's a staple I always look forward to, and its absence should not have happened at a restaurant of this caliber.
