First time trying The Pancake House. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. Huge seating area, didn't feel cramped at all. Food was good, nothing stood out one way or the other. Portion size was great.

Haven't been to Pancake House since I moved back to Alberta in 2008 - still the best breakfast place in Polo Park. Highly recommend the Monte Cristo Benedict!

The Original PancakeHouse has always served the best breakfast with classic fluffy pancakes. This is a Winnipeg Icon with the original being on Pembina Highway. Always loved the Pancake House as our #1 Breakfast spot in Winnipeg.

Potatoes had no seasoning and were just boiled... there spent no real time crimping up on the flat top... bland as hell

My Grandson & myself were at the McGillvray Original Pancake House today around 12:30 PM. The service was over the top. We felt like royalty. We only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was full & there were lots of staff. My grandson had the giant ham & cheese pancake & I had the banana split crepes, both delicious..The servers were courteous & amazing.
Service was terrible. Had to flag down a server 3 times for service, to return meal, and for coffee refills. It was also not exceedingly busy, so so excuse for poor service. The food was over priced for the quality. All in all very disappointing and will not be coming back. For almost 60$ for a very basic breakfast for two people I could have gone to a much nicer place.
The location is horrible. Area full of smokers at doorways, seems like some sort of bust stop for special carriers. Dirty building and not so friendly people wondering around. Find a new location.
