Since we were staying at the hotel, the location was very convenient. Despite the wait, the food arrived at an acceptable time and the ambiance helped create a very relaxing mood. Each stable was suitably distanced from others to keep the noise level to an acceptable range. The food options were very reasonable and delicious.

Stayed at the Fort Garry for 3 nights in a beautiful suite. The service at the hotel and the Oval Room is amazing. The food from breakfast to lunch to diner to drinks has absolutely must be the best in Winnipeg. I will be back every time I am in Winnipeg.

Staff handling my reso were amazing, I had fluctuating head counts and they approached it with grace and understanding (Fran and Pauline). Our server Fran took all the steps to ensure that we were well taken care of and was timely with all steps of service. She really went above and beyond to make this celebration so very special! A short walk from the VIA Rail station. They provided a very nice beet and grilled halloumi salad with chicken skewer, gluten-free, while we waited for the train to be re-supplied.

It was one of the best all around restaurant experiences I have ever had. Not one complaint from my perspective. The service, the ambience, the attention to detail was first class. My wife and I felt very pampered and it exceeded our expectations. Thank you to all of the staff in the oval room and to Sam our waiter for providing a great experience for our anniversary!

Every item we ordered was exceptional including the cocktails. The Mai Tai was the best we've had outside of Hawaii. Bread, buns and desserts made fresh in-house which is the sign of a A+ restaurant. Service was excellent. Ambiance was beautiful and classy. For Sunday brunch, there were a few patrons who could have dressed in something a little more upscale than clothes they could have been washing their car or doing yard work in. Come on people - that's o.k. for McDonalds but Please...

The 24 hour braised chuck flat was delicious. Even better than almost every short rib that I have ever eaten. We shared the beautiful and delicious bison carpaccio. My companion had the nicoise which was a bit anchovy heavy. A great dinner.
