The food quality was not good, but the restaurant environment was very fancy and relaxing. The onion soup was full of cheese and had a bitter taste from the onions. We couldn’t eat more than two spoonfuls. The two pizzas we ordered were very dry and lacked mozzarella cheese. The ingredients didn’t blend together and it didn’t feel like real pizza at all. Without exaggeration, it was the worst meal I’ve ever had in terms of taste. Again, the atmosphere and the staff were nice.

Classic room, but overall atmosphere is unique in there isn't separation from the lobby of the hotel. Food & service is good.....but a little over priced. They offer 60 minutes free parking....but if I am paying $50.00 with tax & tip for a burger & coffee....you would think parking would be validated. For that reason alone would never go back.

The bison carpaccio was very good, but lacked flavor despite its elaborate display. The London Fog martini tasted more like a lemon drop martini and was tart and very citrusy. I asked them to change it but it didn't make much difference. Our server was excellent and so were the mussels. Overall 7/10.

The food was delicious. Is a great place to bring our baby for brunch. The only recommendation I would make would be to change the music so that it's not elevator music, but there is some jazz or something like that-it would make the ambiance more reflective of the room. We would def go back.

The setting is elegant and classic, especially the ceiling.
I ordered the perch, which had a Japanese-inspired flavour with miso sauce, edamame, and soba noodles. The portion was reasonable, though the fish slices were thin and slightly overcooked, making them a bit dry — still acceptable overall.

We had a lovely experience at Oval Room Brasserie in Winnipeg. The atmosphere is elegant and warm, making it a great spot for a special occasion. The service truly stood out - the staff were very welcoming and made us feel genuinely taken care of from start to finish.
As for the food, it was good overall, though some dishes were a bit underwhelming. I ordered the lamb shank, which unfortunately was slightly dry and lacked seasoning, and my wife had the milk-fed veal meatloaf, which was decent but not particularly memorable. That said, the chickpea fries were fantastic - crispy, flavorful, and definitely a must-try (honestly, anything fried is hard to go wrong with!).
Even with a few minor food disappointments, the wonderful service and beautiful atmosphere make this a place I’d recommend, especially for special occasions.
