I have been coming to the Rec Room for many years. Had an experience where I was playing bowling and had a drink. Me and my friends drink was cleaned up suddenly with 1-2 sips left. The staff denied any responsibly for this. The managers think the staff was right for judging that the drink was completed... when you spend $36 for 2 drinks then you should ask the people drinking it.
The customer service was not friendly and professional. It's actually shocking how we were treated. There's no apologies on their side. They shouldn't have young kids running this place.
I was with my friends. Their staffs took our drinks from bowling area and we were drinking and they claimed that we didn't pick up drinks yet from anywhere and than they said yes it's us who picked up but it was empty. It was non-alcoholic drinks and they picked up all almost half glass and they said it was empty. And laughing when we wait for them to investigate. At last, they said if you force us more we have to walk you out. And they literally walked all of us out without refunding or complimenting anything
Such a rude place with this new staff from 2025
I'm sure the games would be fun, but I had no time to play them after the egregiously slow service at the restaurant. It took well over two hours from sitting down until receiving the bill. Do not eat here. Eat somewhere else and then come here afterwards for the games. The food was also not great anyway. Lots of better (and faster) restaurants nearby.
Edit: I followed up with Avery after she commented on my review. She seemed more interested in explaining that 2.5 hours is an acceptable amount of time to be kept at a table waiting to order, waiting for the food, and waiting for the bill. She also blamed it on the busy season, as if there's no way that a restaurant can prepare for having more customers than normal during the Christmas season. It certainly didn't make me believe that things will be improving there. I will not be back. Screenshots of Avery's email attached.
Great place to bring kids. Our toddler loved it. The restaurant is solid too.
Gooooood
I went to the rec room while on vacation with my family. We went on Monday and I had the all you can eat wings. I wish there were more flavors available but the quality was very good and the size per refill was fair. My waitress was very nice and I got refills promptly. I paid for the $35 credit and was able to do bowling and plenty of games for the 4 hours that we were there. A lot of the games don't give many tickets but are still very fun! Overall I had a great time and I felt the price were reasonable for what I got.
My kids and I absolutely love this place, we can easily spend more than a few hours without noticing. And the fact that there's food/drinks available for purchase is great. Good variety of arcades, and adding bowling, axe throwing and VR makes the place great for everybody.
We absolutely love it here. Bringing my kids and their friends it's always a win win.
One of the finest place in Winnipeg to enjoy with family
Great hospitality
Lots of games to play for the young & old. Video games, shooting games, driving games, 10 pin bowling, archery, virtual golf to name a few. A snack bar- fries - burgers , drinks. A restaurant with a huge seating area. A lounge who has bands occasionally. Great fun for the whole family.
We were at Winnipeg (Sterling Lyon) location earlier, 8:45pm (Dec 23, 2024) with family and friends (group pf 13 pax). We went there because we have visitors from another country and our first time to try if their wings are as good as other restaurants. I am giving 1 start for their poor customer service especially the manager who did not even apologize for the service they provided.
1. The greeter who finds seats for you, did not ask us how many wants to have unli wings promo and said immediately that "they ran out of wings".
2. We got to our seats and mind you, the restaurant is far from being fully booked. We ordered food and as our orders arrive, we notice all other customers about 4 or 5 tables with similar count as ours are being served chicken wings.
3. Before we paid our meal we asked the manager, why did they say they "ran out of wimgs" yet serving wings with other guest. The manager insisted, those guests reserved seats online or call and so they set aside wings. This is unacceptable because neither the website not the greeter not say thay "UNLIMITED MONDAY WINGS' JUST FOR RESERVATION".
The manager did not even apologize for the bad experience and false advertising of their promotion and insisted his bad decision to deny some guest and give preference to others who came after we arrived.
The food is decent but I will think twice of coming back to dine in, more so, recommend their dine in since even the manager does not listen to their customers.
Restaurantji Recommends
they have pump it up
Good times. Drinks are a little overpriced.
Games are well maintained and new ones rotated in regularly.
Awesome
I visited the restaurant there and food was not bad but burger patty was dry and it is so noisy there. But it os still a good place to spend time with friends.
