usually have a good time here however during this particular time, we ordered the burger with a gluten free bun which we thought had a real-meat patty in it, it turned out being a veggie patty but it tasted frozen and flavourless, the bun was crumbly and hard to cut through, enough to say we barely ate much of the burger and our server did not offer options or discount/cover the burger once the bill came. the menu should be more clear next time.

I had the veggie burger and it could’ve been more clear on what it would taste like and how the patty consistency would be, it would seemed almost frozen and the gluten free bun was hard and tough. I would not recommend their smokehouse burger and their service was ok just a little passive aggressive responses that almost sounded like talking down on us but other responses from the waitress were polite. drinks also took a while but the atmosphere is nice. Overall poor experience this particular time.

Very cute place on Corydon with a fun list of cocktail drinks to choose from. They are served in pretty glassware and garnished with edible flowers. Sitting outside on the patio is a must do before winter rolls in.

Vegetarian options: They have a good amount of vegetarian options to choose from.

Absolute gem. Right above Milksmith the food was incredible and the drinks were adorable. Also the patio was absolutely fantastic on a beautiful September night. Tiana was amazing! 100% will be back!

Visited this spot with my best friend this evening and I was actually blown away. The cozy and chill atmosphere sets the tone for a special, private, and memorable dining experience right off the bat. Small staff count, low capacity *which is actually a huge WIN for this place and both an indoor and outdoor setting option. Condensed menu with a variety for every kind of foodie. Great sharing portions. Everything came out timely, fresh, and tbh the BEST beef tartare I've had in Winnipeg, hands down. Compliments to the staff and chef. Definitely a gem I'll be visiting again.... soon.

I was really curious about The Roost after seeing it listed as #39 in "Canada's 50 Best Bars." So, while visiting MB,Canada, I knew I had to Check It Out.

Luckily, we found a vacant parking spot almost directly across from The Roost’s entrance, like it was waiting just for us—haha. The warm welcome continued inside, where the server and bartender smiled at every guest as they passed by, adding to the friendly vibe.

We decided to go just before sunset to really experience the chill atmosphere. The timing was perfect, with the cozy patio and evening vibe setting the mood.

The drinks were amazing! Even though we didn’t try any cocktails, the mocktails we had—Pink Moon and Ginger Rogers—were extremely good. They had a homemade, creative twist that made them stand out. And the prices were reasonable—less than 10 CAD each for the mocktails.

For food, we tried the pork buns and the market veggies (a delicious potato salad). Note that there are vegan-friendly (VF) options.

We came to The Roost just to relax and soak in the ambiance, and it didn’t disappoint. Even with the chill in the air, the patio was a great spot to unwind before winter fully set in.

A must visit if you're in winnipeg.
The atmosphere is very cozy (both indoors and outdoors), limited unique items on the menu, and delicious cocktails with plenty of options for mocktails and other beverages. I feel the drinks are priced on the higher side.
Service is great. Food tastes great and is worth it.
Plenty of street parking available.

Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie and vegan options :)

This place is a GEM! One I experienced for the first time today (after hearing my coworker rave about their tofu buns) and I am now obsessed! Took my sister for food and mocktails and everything was amazing!
