I visited The Roost yesterday (August 29th) with two friends and had a very disappointing experience with the service. Our server consistently ignored me throughout the evening and only directed questions to my two friends. Each time he came to the table, he asked them if they wanted anything but never once asked me. Because of this, my two friends ended up ordering food while I wasn’t even given the chance.
It wasn’t just me who noticed this — my friends pointed it out during the night and even mentioned it to me, wondering why the server was acting that way. This went on the entire evening and left me feeling completely overlooked.
This was my first time visiting The Roost, and unfortunately it will also be my last. Based on the way I was treated. I don’t recommend this place, their service is terrible.

We had Scottie as our server and she made my experience amazing! I own restaurants in Ontario, so I super appreciate fantastic food and phenomenal service. She went above and beyond in helping me chose the perfect food and cocktails. She also put a list of cool spots to visit while I am visiting in Winnipeg. Overall loved the restaurant and the quaint intimate experience. Fabulous place, highly recommend.

Wow. What a great find -visiting from Miami did not expect to find such a gem- great atmosphere, great people, cozy little place with superlative drinks and creative food. The menu which I understand frequently changes, is healthy with sophisticated flavors and combinations. Also love their “humanifesto”!

Sooooo gooood. The food, the cocktails, the whole vibe was chill and welcoming.
My husband and I dined here last night. We live in the neighborhood and regret not trying it sooner. The first bite of our Tandoori mushrooms, we both said Oh My god! Delicious flavor explosion. The smoked pork belly is to die for. Punch bowl cocktail, fabulous! Reminds me of when my mom would bring the punch bowl out at Christmas. The staff always smiling and everyone clearly showed they love working there. It was like stopping at a friends home. We for sure will be returning soon.

Went with a group of 4 later in the evening. We picked the Roost because they were open later than a lot of spots on a Monday & the menu looked interesting. We all ordered small dishes to share. Each dish ordered was phenomenal. Very tasty & exceptionally prepared. Their menu is diverse enough to offer something for every palate & it was difficult to make up our minds when ordering... so many things looked appealing. We ordered beer and cocktails & the waitress also brought us a pitcher of water. Beer selection was decent, but the cocktails were definitely their specialty. There were also a lot of mocktail choices for those not wanting the alcohol. Our waitress was awesome. Very helpful, friendly & attentive. Coming to the Roost was a 1st for everyone in our group & we were all happy with the experience. I'll definitely return.

Very unprofessional experience at The Roost on Corydon Ave. The staff member was rude, didn’t offer any napkins or basic service, and made a comment to another customer saying “he didn’t even tip me” just because I chose not to tip due to her poor attitude. That’s completely inappropriate and uncalled for. Definitely not coming back.
