First time we tried this restaurant, chicken dish was good,noodle dish also,the breaded shrimp were terrible,breading was so hard we had a hard time trying to eat them

Best Chinese in Winnipeg I’ve had and my husband is very picky, usually won’t eat Chinese food and he had seconds. Very fresh and real food, actual chicken breast, not frozen and processed. Won’t be ordering from anywhere else.

The best Chinese food I have ever had. The big take away is that none of the dishes that I ordered, were greasy the way their competitors are . Singapore noodles , dry breaded shrimp, breaded pork,and crispy ginger beef ,were all excellent. Friendly staff and great service.

Ordered take out from here today. We live nearby and stopped ordering from the previous business at this location some yrs ago due to constant delays and continually shrinking portions. But we have heard only good things since "The Tang" took over and so finally gave it a shot. We ordered a deluxe fried rice, Sichuan shrimp, crispy ginger beef, sweet & sour breaded dry pork, and lemon chicken. Sauces were in seperate containers except for the shrimp. Portions were fair and excellent value. The food was absolutely delicious and very fresh, tasting amazing! Truly some of the best dishes we have ever had (we eat Chinese quite often). The shrimp was extremely spicy (like Sichuan is supposed to be) which was highly appreciated, since usually it is toned down everywhere for the "Canadian" palette. The breaded pork pieces were like little schnitzels and the ginger beef was delicious too. The lemon chicken was extremely tender with a crispy and not-too-thick crust. Nothing was overly greasy or disappointing in any way. The food was ready for pickup 20 minutes after calling (as stated) and provided with a smile! We will definitely return for more take-out to this jewel in our neighbourhood for more in the future! Keep up the great work making delicious meals! I look forward to walking over for a deluxe wonton soup, a lunch favourite. One suggestion is to add bubble tea to your menu. Thank you

We would usually order from a restaurant on academy called Hi Ball. They are closed for a month so we started looking elsewhere. We are mostly disappointed with the quality and quantity of food from most Chinese food restaurants so we don’t like to explore very much when ordering Chinese. The Tang Chinese food is the best Chinese food I have ever ordered. We ordered 8 dishes total. The quantity of food per dish is generous and perfect for the price. The quality of the food is easily the best I’ve had ever. The ginger beef came dry with a sauce to poor over yourself,. It wasn’t sugary or thick, it was clearly home made by an authentic chef, as was every dish. The vegetables were gigantic in every dish. The food was literally steaming hot on the table. When my friends picked it up, they were so kind and added an extra dish in for free because it wasn’t ready to the minute of what was requested. I will only be ordering from here from now on when Chinese is on the menu.

We just ordered from The Tang for the first time. All we have to say is AMAZING! It was so fresh and delicious. Love the fact that the sauce was all on the side and not drenched in it. The portions are enormous and my husband and I didn’t even make a dent. We live in Headingley and so fortunate to have this right over the bridge. I’ve steered clear of Chinese over the years because it’s just too much and so much carbs but, If you are looking for fresh, not a lot of breading and oil then you must try. Amazing!!!!!

Amazing quality! I've been going to Panda for decades and I think I may have just found my new spot. Ordered it for a Bday celebration and all 10 of us raved over the quality. Price was also very reasonable. Highly recommend giving them a try.
