We had their Afternoon Tea service. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice enough, but the menu heavily featured baked goods, which all tasted a bit stale, as if they were prepared several days ago. Given the price for the quality, I can’t recommend their Afternoon Tea.

Tea time, very pleasant and delicious time
Went for the Mad Hatter high tea. The desserts were impeccable and the service incredibly attentive. The savoury selections were on the dry/stale side. The pastries and breads had been prepared in advance and refrigerated. It seemed like they'd just come out of the fridge and they didn't taste very fresh. I didn't find it was worth the money in terms of food quality, but the overall experience was wonderful. My family loved our afternoon!
The High tea sandwiches and desserts were very tasty and the table was decorated to the theme of Alice in Wonderland. I really enjoyed where we were seated in a quaint small booth. It was a nice overall experience.
Went for high tea. Lovely atmosphere with really cute table settings and tea pots. The food was delicious, I especially appreciated how they made my out of town guest welcome; first when we were seated at the table and on our tiered tray in chocolate. Very cute!

Went for afternoon tea. The ambience was lovely and everything looked pretty. You get pretty full because of the tea but thankfully you can take home the things you’re not able to finish. The service was top notch. Our server Rod was really great. In fact, everyone working there was pleasant. Overall, a really exquisite experience

The Bridgerton Spill the Tea Afternoon Tea was amazing. I've had other teas at other places and other Fairmonts and thought they did a great job! Look forward to the next one.
I really enjoyed this experience. I loved the set up, the food and the service! I also really like how some of the guests came in dressed up Bridgerton Inspired. I'd definitely go back again!
I had a very odd experience with The Velvet Glove restaurant. I called on Wednesday, May 1 to make a reservation for Thursday, May 2 at 6 p.m. for two people. The first question asked was whether I wanted to reserve a room or a restaurant seating, which I thought was odd because I had called the number for the restaurant or so I thought. I said the restaurant and they said they didn't think it was necessary but took my name anyway. When I arrived at 6 the next day I was told the restaurant was closed but the lounge was open for food. I am curious as to when the restaurant is actually open?

Mother's Day brunch and they had not worked the kinks out. Awkward to carry your plate all the way back and through from one side of lobby to your seat in restaurant, although offerings were impressive. Our server was run off her feet and at one point had completely disappeared, making paying the cheque a bit of a circus. Putting the kids table including the chocolate fountain right beside the carving station was a bold choice. Little ones on the floor and running into people with hot stuff not great.

Had breakfast here this morning while staying at the hotel. Meh. Nice atmosphere and great service but the coffee was weak and flavourless and the food was very underwhelming. Flavourless bacon (that is not an easy feat!), what appeared to be, and tasted like, bland supermarket sausages, and an unripened tomato. The food definitely did not meet the standard of the service or atmosphere.

Third time solo dining at this restaurant. I've done their High Tea twice and recently enjoyed their Fondue experience. The food is ALWAYS amazing, Service is top notch. I LOVE treating myself to special meals here!

A gorgeous venue for an anniversary treat, the ambience is lovely and soft and the staff were extremely polite and attentive. I do wish I had mentioned it was our first time there, as I was unfamiliar with the etiquette - I wasn't sure where to put the tea bag so I over-steeped my lovely earl grey (so very sad and my bad). Also, I am a bit of a heathen and struggled with eating my little sliders with a fork - surely there are exceptions and I could have used my hands, yes? Alas, I should return with my questions, if not just for that incredible sweet potato and sage scone. The vanilla and honey panna cotta? Oh my yes. Get the golden dragon jasmine tea if you're there; divinity in a tea cup.
Our server was amazing, the first course was delicious but expected more for dipping rather than what was served. Not enough food for the main course for what you are paying. Last course with chocolate we questioned why they served more bread when we expected fruits. Was a neat experience but will try other places for fondue as this was very expensive for what you receive.
The food was cold. Even the coffee was cold. We were rushed out before we were finished for the next reservation. There was no consideration that we had two small children that slowed us down in going to the buffet.
