Hip and bright, Thom Bargen’s downtown roaster delivered on exceptionally delicious coffee. With easy access to their freshest beans, this location is a home brewer’s delight; sample one of their many on tap roasts through either espresso or drip and walk away with beautiful beans that will deliver on coffee’s finest aroma and flavor. Thanks for great service and a great experience.

I was in Winnipeg for a conference, and made this my daily coffee stop. It's conveniently located downtown within short walking distance from many hotels and the conference centre. While it was a bit outside of my route to the conference, I made a special point of coming back, because the coffee is so fantastic!

The depth and flavour of the roast is second to none. My first time there, I ordered a decaf americano misto with oat milk. When I got my order and was about to leave, the lady at the counter quickly stopped me as she realized she had given me regular instead of decaf. I really appreciated this level of service, and the fact that she was willing to acknowledge her mistake.

I would highly recommend to give this wonderful cafe a try. It would also be a great spot for studying, reading, or a coffee date with friends!

I bought their coffee subscription on Thursday night and I absolutely needed the coffee for the weekend. On Friday, my order was not ready yet according to the website, so I headed out to this place in person. The lady behind the counter was so helpful. She gave me the coffee bag and told me she would let the coffee subscription guys know that I've already picked up my first coffee bag. The coffee I chose was a really delicious natural coffee from Burundi. I could taste the fermentation notes in my Aeropress-brewed cup. Considering the price that I paid for the coffee subscription, you cannot go wrong with this place. The best bang for your buck if you also care about the quality of your daily coffee but you don't want to break the bank.

I stopped by today after work to buy a frappe. Since I saw they were only open until 4, I asked if they were still serving because there were a few customers inside chatting and eating. The lady at the counter was super nice and assured me they were still open, so I could place an order. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a frappe, but she recommended another drink that matched my preferences. It turned out to be one of the best lattes I’ve had—and I’ve tried most coffee shops in downtown, so I can compare! What really stands out about this shop is their exceptional customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Blueberry latte with oatmilk is to die for. Taste like a blueberry muffin. Their date bars need some work, however. Too much oat crumble and not enough date. Love the addition of cinnamon. Lavanda's date bar is better

I used to enjoy coming by, but I’ve found that the coffee is very inconsistent now compared to before. Sometimes the coffee’s good, sometimes watered down. Overall I just think I paid more than what it was worth.
The staff also don’t seem too happy to be serving customers, nor do they even bother smiling at anybody anymore, which is ironic since the sign on the washroom door claims they’re friendly.

Great spot near the University of Winnipeg and Portage Place to study or wait for a transfer.

They usually have two options of coffee (usually their always sunny and house espresso alongside a feature bean/blend that is lighter) for drip and espresso which is very nice as I personally enjoy sweeter or acidic coffee. They provide a decent variety of beans although I haven't tried them for a long time but I remember being quite happy when I did.

Definitely recommend!
