I regularly patronise this place.good food.yum.
Food tasted horrible for the last 20 years
I don’t care if it’s a icon
I’m sure it was bumpin back in the day.
It’s smelled like a toilet for the last 20 years
Place is a dump. Hasn’t planted a flower in 20 years. Why do I say 20 years? Cuz I’ve worked down the street and drive by it almost everyday. Good riddance. Bring on Starbucks
This place used to be good. Used to. Not anymore.
The chili burger made my taste buds dance! The service was quick and attentive. Support Canadian business and treat yourself!
Food and service are average.
The food was terrible taste and quality when we tried it twice , which already made me not want to go back . & now , I along with many others refuse to ever support this restaurant as they blocked a Starbucks going up in a large separate lot next door that would have made no difference to their business .
The booths are a little small but everything else is great. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are excellent. Definitely going back
Nice old style restaurant, but needs a full renovation. Food was good for the price and the staff were friendly.
Very retro. Food is great.

Atmosphere: Empty at 7 pm on a Friday. The parking lot is very uneven and needs to be repaved. The restaurant is dusty and dirty. The live plants are neglected and have fake flowers stuck into the pots. Everything is super old and falling apart. It's fun to visit classic diners, but there are some things they can update while retaining the classic asthetic, such as reupholstering the booths & getting new drapes. At the very least, maintaining and cleaning these things. There is a huge crack across the floor down the centre of the restaurant which is not surprising after tackling the surrounding parking lot. The faucets in the bathroom have years of calcium build up on them. Dead bugs on the window sills. There are a bunch of vending machines at the entry and they made annoying noises while we ate. If I must have annoying sounds, I think arcade games are more appropriate for a place like this rather than a gumball machine to win generic ear buds. As we began our meal, the restaurant was visited by a person tweaked out on something. The server stood 8 feet away, behind the counter, leaning back against another counter, facing us and watching us for the entire meal.
Service: The woman (possibly an owner) was clearly exhausted but she took our order & it was correct in spite of a bit of a language barrier. She was unsettled when the tweaker came in but did not ask them to leave, nor did she see if they intended to order.
Food: Kids had burgers & fries. The portion of fries was miniscule. They said that their burger patties "don't taste very good". I had the chicken & spaghetti with chili as sauce. The chicken was just ok. The chili was disgusting. It tasted like a bunch of chili powder was added to refried beans and then mixed with the same bland gravy my kids had with their fries. I did not eat the spaghetti.
The buttered rye toast was good and so was the coleslaw. For $90, we left truly disappointed. This place was awesome in the past. Not anymore unfortunately.
Parking: Don't bring your car. The parking lot sucks.

I ordered a Chili Burger and I only have one every 5 years. It came in a brown gravy without and Onion in sight, the burger had absolutely no taste. Never going back
