Delicious food and excellent service. However, it appears Tony Romas is participating in shrinkflation. The onion loaf used to be way bigger and I don’t know where they got those baby back ribs from, but they are very tiny width wise. Delicious but half the size they should be. Disappointing. Thank goodness they still have dinner rolls or I would’ve left hungry.

I have to be honest we frequent Tony Romas quite often. The food size portions are pathetically small compared to what they used to be. Also when a person orders short ribs, the gravy they gave was powdered gravy out of a package. It’s supposed to be served with au jus. at least it used to be also, the other meal we ordered was a chicken meal that was supposed to come with a gravy. And again they tried to pass off beef gravy with a chicken meal. This will be the last time I visit Tony Romas the only thing that I enjoy on the menu now is served with beef gravy. I know that sounds petty, but I can’t believe the cost of that food and they serve powdered gravy with their meal. I didn’t realize Tony Romas turned into a roadside diner. Another time that we visited there we ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer and they came undercooked. when you bit into the undercooked chicken, you could see The bones itself were still blood red. And they said that’s the way they were supposed to be. I’ve been eating chicken my whole life and they said that blood red chicken bones are the way it’s supposed to be they must think I’m stupid but anyways it’s another reason why I will never go back. Disappointed after I even gave them a second chance

We went to celebrate a belated birthday. Loved the medallions with Caesar salad. Cooked to perfection. So tender they melted in the mouth. Hubby had the salmon and also raved about how great everything was.

Everytime I go to Tony Roma's, I leave disappointed. I have not been in years, so I tried it recently, and was let down again.In the picture I have, I ordered the ribeye steak (med rare). Now I know a ribeye is going to be a fatties steak, but more than half of the steak was pure fat and completely inedible.I wish I took of pictures of this issue too...but while I was eating my caesar salad, I found a long black hair in it. I told the waitress, and she offered to get me a new one, but I refused as the salad was no longer appealing. Server did remove this item from the bill.Overall, it was a pretty gross experience.

Food was amazing! However the waitress was hella rude. Lol. The bill was $160. My friend paid with card and she went like “ there is no tip. Is there a problem with the service tonight ? “. Lol i actually left a $20 cash for her on the table that she didn’t notice. With that attitude, I took it back and still left $5 because I’m a nice person and i always tip servers. Never encountered this type of behaviour from other servers, Just with that one lady.

2024-02-18 Update: Service and quality of food remains very good. Ordered beef ribs, while the portion of ribs were kinda small, they were cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The broccoli was not cooked the same as the last time a visited (several years ago) which is a shame. Kids meal items are still a pretty decent value.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Been here quite a few times, never disappointed. Always particularly like the service. Staff are always so friendly. Food is good of course as well.Kids menu is a great value here as well!

I have never been disappointed at Tony's st. James. The food is exceptional and the service is great. The room is lively but I like it that way. My only complaint is that I wish there were more locations in the city.
Food came out luke warm. No water nor coffee refills. Inattentive waitress service. I think it was just an off day with the personnel because our past experiences have been much better. Will still go back.

Our server was excellent and the onion loaf was fantastic as always. Although it seems to be shrinking. It was more like a bun than a loaf but always tasty. Had beef bones and they did a great job on them. I have had better ribs but they are always consistent and hot.
Their steak and wild mushroom flatbread was really good def recommend getting it for starters. As for their ribs, I got the original back ribs - I'd say it's okay. Nothing too crazy, though I found it a little dry and lacking some bbq sauce, could def use some more. My favourite would be the Seasonal cobbler for dessert.

What a great experience! Haven't been here for a couple years and nothing changes in terms of having a great dining experience. Keith, our waiter, a long time employee, is fantastic. No waiter can surpass his friendliness and efficiency. We were seated in a quiet booth near the front with very little noise. It was perfect! The riblings were delicious as usual and would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great food with great experience!! Kudos!
