We stopped in on a Friday and there were only three tables available when we arrived. We thought service might be slow but it was efficient. People seemed happy with their meals at all the tables around us. We ordered by writing our choices on a slip of paper. The waitress quickly brought us ice water and complementary bowls of consommé soup. Quickly enough our eggrolls arrived. They are pretty full but mostly beans sprouts. Supper arrived soon after those were finished and everything was hot and tasty. The ginger beef was pretty much the best we’ve ever had. The lemon chicken was three good size breasts, slightly breaded, and fried and served with a bowl of their house-made lemon sauce, which is lemony and not too sweet. Finally, we tried the walnut shrimp based on another review. They are breaded and fried and served in a creamy sauce and sprinkled with candied walnuts. We would order all three again. While we were there the restaurant completely filled. The phone rang multiple times with orders and at least five pickup orders went out the door. The staff did not seem to miss a beat. It is not fancy but it’s comfy and we were glad we had given it a chance. The front entrance could use a tidy up and parking on the street seems adequate. We will return again.Parking: Park on the street. You might have to walk a short block.

Best Chinese in town

Tried it for the first time and loved it. Delicious, great service, ordered too much but ate most of it because it was good. The mushroom seafood was great, the wonton soup filling, honey garlic chicken balls were actual chicken pieces without too much dough. Will definately be going back. Soup, tea and seven plates $128(tax included) 5 people and we had three containers of leftovers.

This was one of my top 3 Chinese stops in the city. There prices seem to have skyrocketed more then the other 2 places I use as well. Shanghai noodles this last time were not very good either as they all stuck together. I don't plan on using them anymore as Golden Dragon just down the street is superior in price and taste now.

For my money, the best Chinese food in the neighborhood. Great that the lunch buffet is back! A nice assortment of menu items offered on the buffet - you will not go away hungry!

This is our new 'go to' place for Chinese. The best chinese we've had in years. Everything fresh, properly cooked, not greasy at all. Their chef knows his job, that's obvious. The four of us were very impressed !

As a customer i have a right to call them and complain if my food is cold or room temperature when delivered and not a busy time and sauces not received. This happened a few times only thing said was sorry. 3rd time when I went to order they refused me service as they said I complained too much. I use to order monthly. Real sad and bad customer service.

Consume soup was not very flavourful. Hot honey chicken was not hot in spice or temperature and the coating was very mushy. The Cantonese beef chowmein only had broccoli as a vegetable in it and the beef tasted like it was something previously cooked then reheated. I was surprised with the dry wonton, just fried wonton wrappers with no filling. Any dry wontons I have ever tasted had some filling in them. The wonton sauce tasted like it came out of a jar.Not worth the $50.00 I paid after waiting over an hour for the food.Won't order from here again.

Favourite Chinese food restaurant. Delicious and big portions. We have been ordering takeout for over 10 years. They are always busy. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: My wife gets the mixed greens with tofu. We share the mushroom fried rice.

King pao sauce was runny and kind of bland. Chicken balls were the size of golf balls way to much breading.

We pre ordered for delivery for a birthday party. Person was very friendly Ordered dinner for six plus wontons and received a complimentary order of sweet and sour chicken Delivery was spot on time. Food portions were large and delicious Five adults and two kids ate and we still had leftovers. Will certainly be our go to Chinese takeout going forward

The experience at this restaurant has been great!Great food, atmosphere and employees!if it was not for the horrible experience with an employee at Hotly Pot, we would not have found a diamond in the rough!Shall be returning here, without question.
