First time at WanaBees Diner in Winnipeg, and I’ll definitely be back! Went with my cousins who are local, and now I understand why this place is a favorite.
The food is freshly cooked and full of flavor. I had the mushroom omelette with hashbrowns, and you can tell right away that the hashbrowns are made from scratch, not frozen or pre-packaged like most places. Everything tasted homemade and satisfying.
The coffee was hot, bold, and delicious, just the way diner coffee should be. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with that genuine diner charm that makes you want to sit and stay awhile.
The rest of the table ordered the “Usual” and were just as impressed. Service was friendly, and you can tell they care about their customers.
Highly recommend WanaBees if you’re looking for a great breakfast spot in Winnipeg. Fresh food, great coffee, and a warm atmosphere, you really can’t go wrong here.

You know who makes amazing blueberry pancakes?? THIS PLACE! The breakfast sandwiches are so good, show up piping hot...every time! You get good quality food for a fantastic price. I'm so glad you guys are back on skip, I didnt see this restaurant listed for a while, I know skip charges heavy..... feel free to increase your pricing, We'll gladly pay more for the awesome hearty breakfast we get.

Wannabees can get bonkers busy, as in standing room only, queing out the door busy.. And for very good reason, the owners and the food are exceptional..... Would fully recommend the Langside style eggs benedict.....

Long time coming to visit this place and the only issue is I wish I had visited a long time ago! Owner-operated local cafe for breakfast and lunch with a great menu and affordable pricing. Very friendly staff that make you feel like a local on the first visit and will keep you coming back. It's a small spot with limited seating but that also makes it super cozy. Will try to sit bartop on my next visit.
