Everything was really good, had the softshell crab, deluxe tempura, salmon otoro, unagi, and OMG roll… except I only ended up ordering the OMG roll because I got the volcano roll first, was the most disgusting sushi roll I’ve ever had it was DRENCHED in mayo and then they torched it, and it tasted like butane. Couldn’t taste anything else besides butane flavoured mayo, it made me nauseous. The waiter was very nice about it and replaced it for free with the OMG roll. And also had the pear and lychee green tea was alright. Music choices were really weird and kind of distributive, would have preferred some Seijaku type music.

Great sushi, higher prices but quality is one of the best in the city.

I came here many years ago and was quite satisfied at that time. However, when I came here again yesterday, I found that the number of dishes had decreased a lot, and the quality of the dishes had also become very poor. There weren't many customers when I was there, but I often couldn’t find the server. In particular, after I ordered a Seafood Platter which worth 180 dollars, I found that it did not contain the Canadian lobster as described on the menu. I asked the sever and was told that the lobster was out of stock, so it was replaced with Spicy Salmon for us. But they did not inform us in advance; they only explained it after we noticed the issue. Moreover, they refused to offer us any discount and only apologized for this. This is completely fooling customers. Given the current situation, I will not dine here again, and I will not recommend any friends to dine here either.

Best Sushi in Winnipeg. My server, Colby was excellent. Answered my questions and listened to my concerns about wasabi heat etc and made great recommendations for something new I had never tried, but I have to say I really enjoyed. The food was far and away superior to any other Sushi restaurant I have been to in Winnipeg. Great variety and interesting options on the menu. Prices are slightly higher but when you consider what you’re getting it’s well worth it. Highly recommend this location.

Food was okay, nothing mind-blowing. Service was also mid, but the interior and atmosphere was very nice.

Wasabi pretends to be a sushi restaurant in the same way children pretend to be superheroes

If you want real sushi that’s fresh, tastes great and good service, please go to the proper sushi restaurants like Yujiro or Edokko

This place is so bad that I’d rather go to magic sushi.

This place is subway food inside of 529

Awesome place for high end sushi. Sit at counter and you can watch them make your rolls and chat up the chefs it's pretty awesome. Will make you any type of drink you want. Also will make a sushi if you like it a certain way. On a night or when you are not in a rush it's just soak it all in taste the flavor. If you live with a sushi nut( ugh gf) then you'll keep coming back. New style sashimi super tasty.

The place itself is lovely — nice atmosphere and cozy interior, very pleasant to be in. However, the service was quite slow and at times a bit inappropriate. Prices are also on the higher side. Overall, it's worth a visit, but it's good to manage your expectations.

Some of the best sushi in Winnipeg, but also very expensive.

By far THE WORST sushi experience i have ever had in Winnipeg... We ordered the mahalo roll and 2 other rolls. The Bill came to $150 for 3 rolls and a drink

The rolls had no flavour, waaaaay to much rice and fell apart to a million pieces the second a chop stick touched it.. We ate a total of 4 peices combined before we asked for the bill..

I then told the waitress that the sushi was terrible and to give us the bill.. She just stood there and didnt say anything or ask any questions about the trash food we were served... didnt get a manager or anything even tho there was 3 full plates of sushi that was essentially untouched sitting on the table

We paid our bill and took an uber to Bellisimo down the street..

The FOOD and SERVICE are TERRIBLE.. Save your money and eat elsewhere
