I love it here, the portion sizes are massive, so it’s enough for me and a friend to share but i think what truly shines are the milkshakes. I feel like this is one of the only places in the city that has an apple pie milkshake that tastes so fresh and yummy!!!

The service was ok, however the food is another story. Ordered a burger with fries got soggy burnt fries that were raw on the inside. I really liked this but it took a turn for the worse

for downtown, the White Star Diner is my go to place for a homemade breakfast no other family restaurant can't beat!

Great place if you want a milkshake!
Never seen so many kinds of milkshakes to choose from, and they're made with fresh ingredients and love 😊

Stopped in for dinner…fantastic food and wonderful owners!! Had the Reuben with coleslaw…so good! My husband had the double oink burger with fries…amazing as well (we always split our meals half and half so we can try different things). Finished it off with a peanut butter caramilk milkshake…waddled outta there super satisfied.

I love this diner. The pulled pork & cheddar grilled cheese is my favourite. So cheery! New owners are nice. Their usual employee stayed working there, so there is some continuity.
Awesome place in downtown Winnipeg! It just got sold and the new owner cooked my burger and made me a great milkshake. I had the basic burger and fries with a banana/nutella milkshake and the total with taxes and tip was $25. Quick service and many options. I will be back!

What a beautiful hidden gem in the city. Best lunch I have had in a bit. Monster size burgers and the friendliest service. If you have a bad time here you were gonna have a bad time anywhere went.
incredible selection of burgers and sandwiches, the daily iced tea was super delicious and not overly sweet, the milkshakes are insanely good and theres tons of flavours made with real fruit and high quality ingredients.
The place was practically empty with this kind old man working the kitchen.
The milkshake was nice, the fries were amazing, the sandwich was the star, tho.
I just wish more people knew about this place.
10/10 I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DINER it is so cozy and the food is great and the man who runs the place is very knowledgeable
The Mortimer burger was good but fries were too salty and home made ice tea was so bad that I tried to but just couldn’t finish it. -my opinion
