I bought almost $20 worth of food and when I opened it, the chicken that is normally sold was not in my combo. I had initially called to pickup and it was not mentioned on the phone or in person. I had ordered the chowmein and SESAME CHICKEN I asked the lady and she conceded that they ran out and she has been selling a completely different chicken than the one that’s advertised and I that usually get. I was considerably frustrated as this was not communicated at all until I had to ask and she refused to refund, partial refund or replace the chicken with another chicken, saying it would be an additional charge for her mistake and lie! The only remedy she provided was increasing the quantity of chicken I would receive the next time I come, which isn’t quite laughable as I won’t be back to support a business that doesn’t care or respect its customers. It’s quite frustrating not only the lack of communication but also the lack any customer service. I’ve spent a considerable amount of money at this establishment over the years because I wanted to support a local business and have built quite the rapport with the owner but clearly if they mess up your food, you will be on the hook, no matter how many times you’ve supported. Very disappointing

This was a delivery order so I can only comment on the food and price. The issue I have is with what I ordered. Salt and pepper squid tasted good but very small portion compared to other places. Yangzhou fried rice was really good. The sweet and sour chicken balls were disgusting. Most Chinese restaurants use actual chicken chunks and fry them in a proper battered coating. These had a weird breading and the “chicken” was some sort of ground mushy texture that should not be allowed to be called chicken. I had to force the one that I ate down and couldn’t eat a second. Think of the cheapest factory made ground nuggets you can buy. These were worse. Avoid the chicken balls at all costs. I paid $57. For that price I would expect decent portions and quality ingredients. Way over priced for what I received. Everything was cooked well though.

I was very disappointed with my experience here. I asked to use the bathroom and was told it was “out of order” — but it was clear the staff just didn’t want to allow customers to use it. This kind of excuse is frustrating, especially when you’re spending money at the business. Every customer deserves basic respect, and access to a restroom should be a standard courtesy. I won’t be coming back.
