Even if renovated, this place is located in the most questionable street of Winnipeg, Sargent, infamous for all the trap houses that exist in the area.
As it is, the place is very run down. Inside looks as the remains of a formerly nice place with a tarmac or podium for artists or speakers. It is still used as a fundraiser venue for non profits. I do not understand how or why this places remains open for business, when it is obvious that it is not making much of a business. Sure, you can still find some beer, but that's about it. Maybe sometimes have pizza or an odd dish. Inside the place is being used to store old machines and furniture.
On the main wall there are some paintings or art pieces presumably from local artists. This is definitely not a quaint place or your retro place from the eighties. Definitely is not a cafe nor a restaurant. It seems as if it once was a social club but went bankrupt but has remained open for unknown reasons.

Played here with my band last night. Every single person working here was more than respectful and helpful. It truly makes a difference when everyone is so nice! Thank you so much for all the new and happy memories! Also, perfect coffee

Fantastic food, friendly service and lots of amenities for a big location. I've heard they have bands playing some evenings, would like to see the venue at its busiest

X-Cues is a gem in Winnipeg’s downtown / Westend neighborhood. Friendly welcoming environment. It’s a great venue for parties, small or large. Great place for your band to play, or to host an open mic. They have a fantastic sound system with great engineers. The place has been at the same location since the early 70s! They’re doing something right. I have had several parties there and X-Cues has never disappointed me. Sal and his team are professional and always do their best to ensure your event is spectacular!

This establishment is run by communists who buckle to the Left media of Trudeau. Bands should not play at this shithole. And the food sucks and the place has roaches. REAL ROACHES ! Fuk this shithole
Poor service. Not worth their salt.
Phenomenal establishment with delicious food. An absolute community icon.
I didn't eat here so can't comment on that but the staff were very helpful in getting my group a table.Parking could be a problem. I don't know the area but managed to get close street parking, otherwise I might be a bit concerned. The entertainment was amazing (Robert Andreas). It was my first time there but would definitely go again for the right entertainment
