Truly a wonderful experience eating at the modern Japanese Restaurant. We three sampled several dishes.

I visited Yujiro for the first time in a while, and I felt that his impression had changed a little after the renovation. The tataki beef tongue was tender, flavorful, and delicious. The tempura was also consistent, especially the shrimp tempura, which was plump and satisfying.

However, the Botan shrimp nigiri had a bit of a fishy smell, and considering the price of $12 a piece, I felt it was a bit unreasonable. Overall, I think the quality of the food has gone down a bit compared to before.

Excellent Japanese restaurant, the sushi was outstanding! The sashimi was some of the best I have had.
The cocktails they have are well paired to the food, and service was great as well.

I would definitely recommend trying Yujiro if staying in Winnipeg, I will be going back next time I am in town.

Great food, good portion sizes unfriendly service. The atmosphere is more suited to a strip mall and not very pleasant. Super loud with ambient noise from other guests.

This is a popular Japanese restaurant in Winnipeg. The overall color and temperature of the restaurant is very comfortable. The food was excellent, especially the fried shrimp tempura. Bao bun is an American style, very different from Japanese style. Signature champion noodles and hakata ramen are different from their Japanese counterparts in Nagasaki and Hakata. Although I prefer the Japanese style, I have to say that yujiro has given their ramen another soul that is still outstanding! Just a reminder, make sure you make a reservation if you're going to eat here.

The service was absolutely fantastic and friendly (resulting in a 30% Tip). Ed runs an efficient operation. A very clean restaurant including the bathrooms. Food was very good. The overall price was still very high in relation to the portions and quality (again, very good quality, tasty and fresh). For the price, I would have expected either larger portions and/or "spectacular" quality (vs "very good"). PS there is limited parking and you may need to park in residential street - but this was not factored into this review.
