The special of the week was 2 hot dogs and and order of fries. I could have done 2 of the 3 but not both. So not to let a dog go to waste, I had the 2 dogs and about half the fries. I had also ordered a side of chili, that was in my mind true chili. No beans, just meat, sauce and spiced and super thick, so it was great for dipping. I also had a nice chocolate shake, good, cold and thick! Owner George has had several restaurants that I have dined at and I'm very happy Zax is still around!! Me and my boyfriend went there as we went to JCs tacos which is on the opposite side of Henderson and had a horrible experience i didnt eat my food so we went to Zax been here a million times was always good experience and the food was good and filling. But walked over and ordered food waited for it then because I am currently pregnant I wanted to take a few bites before I left as my bf is opening up to check which wrap is which the cashier who was a brunette blue eyed woman who said we have to leave because we had a 600 ml Pepsi, that we weren’t even drinking or opening cuz it was warm. My bf said well she’s pregnant she was just trying to have a few bites and we will be on our way and she said no cant have outside drinks or food go put it in your car, mind you we walked from Jefferson & Main. I knew I was coming there because I wanted something specific and was looking forward to going there. I have been in the food industry and waitressed since I was 16 and was a bartender also after 18, I know theres rules but I didn’t see no signs and why would you NOT SAY something before we ordered a second wrap as well, I felt like it was like “give me your money and get out” I felt so disrespected and embarrassed and humiliated. That was extremely rude and unprofessional and very inhumane. We don’t think we will ever eat there ever again. Which is unfortunate because I was a big fan of there food and always spend over 25$ and tip. Being rude to a pregnant lady is how the staff at this establishment engage in that situation. Be careful if you have something from outside because they will wait till you order and pay for your food and only say something when there giving it to you! IVE NEVER been treated like that as a pregnant person and nor have I ever while working in the food industry over the years have I ever treated a pregnant person like that, I am appalled and extremely disappointed at what used to be a fine dining establishment and experience. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Love my greasy burgers and chilli fry!! Fat boys could use some help with the patty, but i really do enjoy them still!! Ive tried a lot of chilli frys and this place whomps diary whip!!! My go to for a greasy meal! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
First time here and I got to say this is the best restaurant ever, great service, very good customer service and lastly very good food, there fat boys are so filling and yummy 100% recommend this restaurant if your in the area, will come back !
