Food was amazing! Went with the family and tried many things on the menu, loved every dish! Staff were extremely friendly and made us feel extremely welcome and clearly have a passion for making good food and sharing it with others. Best Falafel I've had! Also, would highly recommend a Turkish coffee along with the Kunafeh dessert. Best dessert combo, once you've tried you'll want to eat nothing else!

I’ve been to Zaytoon many times. As time progressed, quality went down, and prices went higher. Employees don’t care too much either for reoccurring customers. I don’t know what the managers name is but the guy with skinny jeans was very rude last time I was there with my friends. Zaytoon, you guys need to step up your food quality and service!

The food was good overall. We ordered tea and beef & cheese samosas as appetizers, and for the main course we had the mixed shawarma combo, lamb chop platter, and beef kofta platter. Everything was flavorful and nicely presented.
The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, so the slower service during the first hour was understandable. However, even after it became less busy, the service didn’t improve much. The ambiance is beautiful though — it’s a very nice place to take pictures.

I came for the first time with a friend the other night. I had the taco appetizer with all three options to try and yalangi. I took an order of hummus home for later. The food was delicious, fresh and packed with flavour. The service was very kind. As a person allergic gluten there were so many options.

First off, be aware it’s a hookah place: if you’re ok with that (imho) smell. Didn't know that going in, my bad. Service was bad on a slow night, no check in; no water refills. I mean one other table eating in the place (probably should be a sign they are empty at dinner time). Pricey even in the current high price atmosphere. Last but not least I didn’t get what I ordered, just got some of it for some reason? Ordered shawarma plate and got…..rice and chicken. The shawarma PLATE was rice and chicken. No hummus, no pickled veg, no flat bread. A moderate amount of rice and dry chicken with sauce. I didn’t complain, probably should have but meh, just one of those simps I guess.. 25 dollars later, I won’t be back.
As an example, if I ordered a “burger plate” at a restaurant and it pictured a burger, fries and coleslaw I might rightly assume a “plate” included those items. Yes, the fine print does state that the “plate” is simply pieces of chicken and rice with sauce, be aware when ordering is all I have to say.
I’ve included the image from the menu. Clearly I misunderstood when I ordered that the “plate” was chicken and rice: I naively thought it would include the sides pictured.

I’ve been to Zaytoon a couple times in the last month and it’s quickly becoming one of my go-to favourite places. Everything I’ve tried has been fantastic and it makes me want to come back until I’ve tried the full menu. Would definitely recommend the Yalangi, Pan Kofta and Falafels.

The food was good, but the customer service was very weak. The staff did not treat me well. When they brought the tea, we asked for the baklava as well, but they didn’t bring it until about 10 minutes later. She was telling me that I’m only person working and that there were many tables to serve. But this is not the customer’s fault. It is not fair to bring my order incomplete and then ask me to wait because there is only one employee available. If the restaurant doesn’t have enough staff, the management should hire more people to provide proper service.
This situation affected my experience, and I hope the service improves in the future.

No well cooked meat, no tasty food, no good service. It seems like the person there needed to smoke

The yalangi was good and delicious. This was the best yalangi I’ve ever eaten. I will order it again. However ,It was expensive and also they put eight or nine yalangi in a box .it is not enough for $12 ,they put at least ten yalangi. But it still yummy.
I don’t have the same idea about kunafah. It wasn’t delicious. Cheese wasn’t melting and also it was salty. Kunafah cheese’s should be unsalted. On the other hand I ordered it to the public library ,although I said send cutlery please ,I send a note from uber eats, they didn’t send it ,I was eating my hands. It was weird, everyone looked at me .even I didn’t tell you ,you could put spoon or fork in the bag. It is common the see everywhere. You can’t eat kunafah with your hand right?maybe I don’t have my utensils.but you could think it.

decided to try takeout here for the first time. Before ordering, I asked if the platters were worth the $25 price, and was assured the portions were generous. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired.
When I arrived at the scheduled pickup time, I still waited about 20 minutes. During that time, I wasn’t offered even a glass of water, and the tables available weren’t clean to sit at.
As for the food, the platter was underwhelming—mostly rice and meat, with just two small plastic containers of hummus and garlic sauce. Not even a simple salad was included. For nearly $49 in total, it didn’t feel like great value. Again food was good just very disappointing portions for the price.
I might give this place another try, but overall, my first experience was disappointing.
Ordered: mix Platter, and falafel platter
