I’m a pretty frequent customer (not weekly - just whenever I think about Jerk Chicken Wings) - but the Mac n Cheese is also good/great & the desserts are tasty. Good choice for a quick wholesome meal

Was craving some bbq while doing work in the area and they had signs saying best bbq and brisket ever so I decided to try it.
Got the meat sampler to try different things. It came with two Rib bones, 3 jerk chicken wingettes, and catfish nuggets. The Rib bones were a nice size but was a bit dry and barely any sauce on it. It was mainly a dry rub style. The catfish tasted like it should have been cooked another minute and the breading was extremely thin and odd taste to it. The jerk wings (wingettes) were very tasty and falling off bone but surprised at size as I'm used to jerk wings being whole wings.
Got sides of fries and fried okra. The okra was done perfectly and the fries were good as freshly fried.
The price is a bit higher than most bbq places and based on what I got probably won't be back. I was curious about the lamb since I love it but now afraid of how it'll come out.

My initial stop was the Starbucks that was on the same shopping center as the place. I had a taste for soul food. As I walked in the restaurant, I received a warm welcome from the cashier and asked for the menu. The choices were very nice, given that mac and cheese is my favorite 🤗. I ordered the chicken with Mac and cheese with green beans (which I am happy that it's made out of turkey instead of pork, which I am glad that there are more options).
I saw the banana pudding and was excited! I was recommended by the owner Greg to try since it's their number one seller of dessert. He was very pleasant and I told him that I will try it. This was a pleasant experience and I didn't get to finish everything because it was a lot, but my ratings are as follows:

We stopped here to grab a bite after a really long day. Great service and good place to eat. Pulled pork sandwich was excellent, as was the coleslaw and banana pudding. We definitely plan to come back. To the owner, thank you for your service!

I jus spent 60 bucks for2 meals...I got ribs and chicken the chicken was so dried up. Musta been in cooker all day...couldn't even eat it so dry...idont think I'll ever go back again potato salad and cabbage not the close to best I've had...let's jus say I'll never go back again...could have jus donated money to establishment...and walked out I would have felt better... I believe I got robbed.. smh

My experience was not great. My friend and I were told our food would be ready in 15min, we ended up waiting 30-40min for our orders not being correct. We both got the 9pc wings meal and that total ended up being $40. My friend said maybe we get whole wings (which we didn’t) She got old bay and I got honey old bay. It was overcooked and very salty. We both enjoyed the hush puppies. They ran out of ice supposedly & Arnold Palmer & they gave me the rest of what was left of the sweet tea. My cup wasn’t even full (I thought it was a joke). This place opened at 12 and we got there around opening so it definitely did not make any sense. I would not go back. I would not recommend this place.

I saw the sign said lamb, which I have never seen at a Southern Maryland BBQ place. I couldn't get it off of my mind, so when I was leaving to come home to Northern VA, I passed that way again. My only regret is that I didn't get the full rack. The lamb chops are superb. I had already eaten at the birthday party I attended, but I had to sample one while it was still hot, so I stood next to the napkins thinking... Next time I'm definitely getting a full rack. I ate these delicious chops for breakfast this morning and now I am making up reasons to head back to Southern Maryland. Absolutely delicious!!

The staff is friendly and attentive. The food not so pleasant. I had the brisket sandwich, which was dry, not a lot of sauce and very plan. The jerk wings are not authentic but decent. The plain wings tasted like they were not from the pit but the fryer. Mac and cheese was meh. And sweet potato fluff was good. Pass on the peach cobbler if you're from the south. Maybe at some butter or coriander. The soda selection was also great

First time ordering from Smoke N The City. I had fried okra, brisket, sweet potato casserole and banana pudding. The okra was crisp and hot. The brisket was mid. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. SPC was good. Was expecting pudding in my BP instead it was a fluffy consistency. The flavor of the BP was nice. I want to give this spot a 2.5. I want to go back and try the fish and ribs

Hands down the best Soul Food restaurant in town. The Lamb Lollipops are the bomb! The catfish fillets are amazing, the deserts the side dishes!!!….. I could go on and on about this place and the staff is so friendly and helpful!! Clean atmosphere, the games were on the tv’s, and the music was nice and soothing!! Just a great experience overall!!
