“Today was my 1st time ordering from this place and the food was excellent! I ordered two catfish dinners, smothered pork chop dinner, kids chicken tenders with fries, sides of potato salad, collard greens candied yams and cornbread. Every single item was perfect! The corn bread and candied yam was not overly sweetened like how other places are. The entrees were all cooked and made to perfection. I took a gamble on placing a large order and I don't regret it! The inside of the restaurant was clean and I was greeted right away. The staff was outstanding and lastly my large order was correct with nothing missing at all. Chicken fried rice was on point as well.The general tsos chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the fried rice was flavorful and satisfying. I highly recommend trying it if you're a fan of delicious and well-prepared Chinese food.”

“This is the best Chinese takeout we have found in the area - we drive here from Waldorf to pick it up because it really is better than any other place we have found. The only one that comes close is Hunan Star in La Plata but this is still preferred. My husband loves their General Tso chicken and I'm a big fan of their Egg Foo Young. Portion sizes are large so we always have leftovers! Worth the drive to Manokeek!”

“I went here with a family member, midday on a Thurs. I got a tuna sub, the raspberry cheesecake cookies, and a Diet Coke. Everything tasted good. It was pretty clean and we were able to eat at a table inside. They had 3 people working, plus a manager, so no wait time.”

“One of the newest cocktail bars on King street!This place is super cool and has a bit of a speakeasy vibe.We only got cocktails but they were all super good and unique. One of the bartenders, Andres, who was making our drinks used to work at a Michelin star bar and really showed it.He even made us custom cocktails when asked and was very nice to talk to.The atmosphere is very cute and very Instagrammable.The only thing is you have to use wifi because the bar is underground and there's no signal but other than that will definitely be going back.”

“Yesterday, I took my friends to The Walrus Oyster & Ale House and everything we ate there was amazing, including the food. While my friend, Nawfal had a crab cake sandwich there and my friend, Danny had a burger there, I had the Maryland’s best lobster roll and it was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had surpasses the lobster roll I had in Maine. Although I had never been to a restaurant other than The Walrus Oyster & Ale House that serves super delicious hush puppies, they serve the best hush puppies I had ever been to. Their cornbread, along with the butter were so delicious and taste different than store-bought cornbread. Plus, the service and the waitress we had there were amazing. I would love to come back to that place next time we eat in National Harbor for dinner.”

“Truly delicious! Visited Alexandria and noticed there are lots of ice cream shops to get a scoop you could get at home, but we wanted something special. Goodies is it! We tried the brownie sandwich sundae, the apple donut sandwich with homemade caramel sauce and the Oreo sundae. All were fantastic and my family loved them! Very nice outdoor seating area in a great location. Brandon (the owner) was really helpful and friendly. There was a bit of a line on a sunny Sunday afternoon, but it moved quickly and was so worth the wait. FYI, it was cash only. We'll be back for sure!”

“Generally everything was good, I just wasn't as happy as I'd like to be for spending about $50 pp with tip for a beer, dinner, and shared appetizers. I will try to visit again and try the pho. Service was relatively quick. The place is very small and won't seat partial parties. It got quite crowded so be prepared.”

“Coffee In is such a lovely little coffee shop! Very clean and cutely decorated. Love that they had a highchair for our baby. The coffee is tasty and they have a pretty wide selection to choose from. The waffles are AMAZING, as is their customer service. We really enjoy this place and so glad they opened. We will be returning :)”

It’s a fun spot to meet up with family, friends or to have a date night.Parking: There are 2 different paid parking areas near the restaurant and you can also try your hand at street parking.”
