“This is the best Chinese takeout we have found in the area - we drive here from Waldorf to pick it up because it really is better than any other place we have found. The only one that comes close is Hunan Star in La Plata but this is still preferred. My husband loves their General Tso chicken and I'm a big fan of their Egg Foo Young. Portion sizes are large so we always have leftovers! Worth the drive to Manokeek!”

“Small local quick serve carryout. They also have fresh soft serv ice cream in the summer season. There is some outside seating but nothing inside. The food here is always good. I have never had a bad food or service here. Best to call ahead to avoid the wait. The lines can be long sometimes. I would give them 9 out of 10 stars.

“I went here last night and it was really good. I am from Mississippi so I have had a lot of really good pork chops but this place has one of the best smothered pork chops I have ever had. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also really good. I got mac and cheese with my meal as well and honestly that was the only downside to the meal. The mac and cheese wasn’t bad but it just wasn’t great. They didn’t make a creamy cheese sauce they just had basically buttered noodles that had big clumps of cheese melted into it. I like my mac and cheese to be saucy. Everything else was great though.”

Our mains covered the spectrum of beef and chicken skewers, mousakka, and branzino in parchment - all great. It's small but feels bright and airy with whiite and blue decor. The LEMON CHICKEN PICCATA was perfect & something I wouldn't have thought to try! My Mom's first visit to any Silver Diner & my first to this location. Our cocktails were masterfully balanced. I had the dirty gin highball and a T&T. The food was also fabulous! Everything was good, but the summer pasta was jaw-droppingly delicious. I really can't say enough good things about the decor, service, and food. I wish I did not live out of state... or maybe it's a good thing that I do, because I'd end up here every weekend!”

Even today we had a misunderstanding in what we were ordering but owner cleared it up and on top of that gave us an extra bit of custard. If there was a way to give six stars I would.
