Dinner for four celebrating two birthdays and an anniversary. As other recommendations had suggested, we secured a booth, as servers and bussers were busy going to and fro around the tables. The booth was just right for the four of us. Kevin was out waiter and can't say enough about how attentive and engaged he was. Definitely recommend asking for him. Everyone ordered something different and no appetizer, salad or entree was anything less than superb. Trio of filet special, Bronzini and Seafood fettuccini were all superb. We also had the assorted dessert offering which was great. Ambiance ?, service ?, food ?, and priced appropriately $$$. Going back for sure.

Dietary restrictions: Gf options exist, not a lot. But its an Italian place, so some is a pleasant surprise

I had a reservation but we were sat in the bar in a booth and the waiter was the bartender. Luckily the bar wasn't too busy but it always felt like they were rushed obviously they were manning two areas. I didn't make a reservation to sit in the bar and be facing the bar. It was supposed to be a nice dinner with my parents.

My Wife and I had a reservation for a Friday evening at 6:15. The hostess greeted us pleasantly and we were seated promptly. After being seated, we were greeted by a member of the wait staff to fill our waters and within 5 minutes our waiter. The noise level was so high, we had trouble hearing and understanding the wait staff for the entirety of the evening. We ordered two cocktails (can't remember what they were) and the burrata. The burrata came out very quickly, almost too quickly (2 - 3 minutes), like it was prepared before service and then refrigerated. It was decent. We waited for our cocktails before beginning the appetizer. That wait turned into 15 - 20 minutes, and at one point, I had to prompt our waiter for the cocktails because it seemed like he forgot about us. The cocktails were good... well made. Below Acqua al 2, is a speakeasy named Harold Black. My Wife and I have eaten there many times... excellent cocktails. Growing impatient and not enjoying the ambience, I headed to the basement and reserved a table for two. We sipped our cocktails and finished the burrata, then headed downstairs, where we had much better service, food/drink and ambiance. We've been wanting to try Acqua al 2 for a while now, and I'm glad we did. We can check it off our list and never return. Overall, the ambience was stuffy, not our scene. The menu (including the wine menu) was confusing. There's way too much to sift through. I spent a good 10 minutes "studying" the menu to decide what I wanted - but nothing stood out. I can't really comment on the food, since we only had the burrata, but if it were telling of the food to come, then I'd say over valued and not worth the $200+ we would have spent to eat it. The service was not good. They were friendly, but not attentive. If you're looking for an enjoyable experience with good food and great cocktails, don't go here. Instead, head down to the basement and enjoy their simple menu and artisan cocktails, made most excellently.

I feel badly for the person who had a bad experience. Ours was great and our waiter was very attentive. Three of us had dinner here. It was our first time. We very much enjoyed the rustic decor and the food was delicious. For our main dishes, two of us ordered the linguine alla vongole (loaded with clams)and one had the branzino. We also had an octopus salad and two other tasty appetizers. We ate and enjoyed each other’s company for about two hours. It is pricey but worth it.

Great experience from start to finish! Steve was a phenomenal server and his recommendations were spot on! The steak flight was amazing. We will be back to enjoy cocktails and dinner again.

I cannot recall our server's name but we see her every time we visit and she's such a gem! I call her Dua Lipa. She's a keeper! As for the food, drinks & ambience - consistently delicious!

Steaks and veal were subpar. Chilean sea bass was great and chicken was good. We are foodies and feel it was overpriced for the quality of the meat. Wed and tuna carpaccio were wonderful. They need to step it up on the meat quality. Ambiance was lovely.

Fantastic restaurant that transports you to Florence through their authentic and high quality dishes. The Orecchiette con Zucca di Stagione was one of the best pasta dishes we’ve tasted, and the Filetto al Mirtillo was exquisite - tender filet with a tasty blueberry reduction.

We had a great experience- food was amazing and service was perfect. Our server, Kevin, was attentive without making us feel rushed in any way. He make great recommendations and knew the menu well. Out hostess was pleasant and helpful and even contacted me to let me know I left my phone behind.. We look forward to our next visit!

My wife and I had high expectations that changed from the moment we were seated at a 24 x 36 table in the entrance to another room of tables on each side. It was like we were at the beginning of another room seated in the entrance. Atmosphere was loud and amplified by the brick walls and hard floor. Our small table was shown to us with one chair until a worker got up and gave us hers (she was sitting down talking to friends at the table along the isle.) Small cramped eating space and very noisy for us, at least with the table next to us. I think we are done.

What a fabulous experience! Kevin, our waiter was great! He recommended excellent choices. The gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream sauce was superb. My husband ordered the branzino with oyster mushrooms and green beans and raved about it. The panna cotta with passion fruit purée is to die for. We will definitely return!

Overall a good experience, but some room for improvement. Our server was quite helpful and attentive but it took a little while for her to get to our table when we arrived and then there was a delay when we were ready for the check. She did not discuss the specials, which would have been helpful. The food was good except I wasn't thrilled with the steak we ordered. It was called the Robespierre something. It was cooked to medium rare as ordered but the char on the outside was overpowering so it tasted like the whole steak was burnt.
