California Pizza Kitchen Reviews
This was our first time trying California Pizza Kitchen and I must say it didn’t disappoint. The lettuce tacos were amazingly good. The BBQ chicken pizza was very flavorful. The service was quick and our waitress was very nice. We will definitely be coming back.
Love CPK when I'm in Annapolis. Went last Wednesday night and it was VERY Disappointing. I usually get the Waldorf chicken salad with Shrimp on top. I explained to the waitress , who must of been new, what I wanted. My sister and I get the Full Waldorf salad and split it. Two dishes come with the salad, one for each of us. This girl brought the salad and 2 very small plates. Never offered us any cracked pepper and never asked us if we wanted refills for our drinks, we had to ask....read full review

California Pizza Kitchen offers a mix of experiences based on recent reviews. Guests appreciate the restaurant's friendly service and lively atmosphere, especially at the Annapolis Mall location, which provides a solid vibe for a casual meal. The pizza, particularly the wild mushroom and cheese melt, is noted for its airy crust, good chew, and flavorful herbs. The salads are often loaded and enjoyed, with some reviewers highlighting the lettuce wraps as especially delicious. The restaurant is also recognized for its respectful treatment of veterans and the free pizza offered on Veterans Day.
However, the quality of food varies. Some diners find the dishes bland or disappointing, citing that the bolognese has little sauce and tastes watered down, while the fettucine alfredo is bland with a heavy garlic and milk taste. There are concerns about portion sizes shrinking over time, especially the pizza, which some believe has become smaller compared to previous visits. Other issues include cleanliness, with reports of crumbs and food splattered on walls, and higher prices, such as $4 for a coke. The bathrooms are also noted as difficult to access.
Overall, California Pizza Kitchen provides enjoyable pizza and good service, but inconsistent food quality and cleanliness issues may affect the dining experience.
