Stopped here for lunch after touring the Academy, got the buffet. Food was very good, nice atmosphere, service, value. Would definitely recommend.

The Alley restaurant at the Naval Academy provided a wonderful lunch in the middle of our self-guided tour, and it exceeded our expectations tremendously. Our waitress was so kind and caring for our family, and the crab cake was one of the best I've ever had. Don't miss it!

The restaurant is in a former bowling Alley, hence the name. Lots of dark wood and the first thing you see is the bar. It was lunch time, so we were not quite ready for a cocktail. Booths were comfortable and service by Amelia was definitely getting an A for effort. My wife had the French Dip and it was delicious, as were the accompanying French fries. I had the Chicken BLT with homemade chips. The sandwich was cooked fine, but I was frankly disappointed with the taste. I would not order it again, although the homemade chips were great. The French Dip is highly recommended to try.Our server tempted us with the Chef's special dessert. It was a French pastry filled with fresh blueberries with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was delicious!!

All around nice experience. The buffet was well done and in a very nice setting. Friends ordered off the menu and liked their food as well.

Saw the waiter intentionally not serve a group of black female naval officers, very disappointed in

We have been going to the former Officer's Club now the Naval Academy Club for years now, but this was the first time that we had been to The Alley. We were pretty impressed. I liked the ambience there. The food was reasonably priced for lunch. I didn't see the dinner prices, but you get a lot of bang for your buck for lunch especially with the buffet. Our waiter was pleasant and welcoming. My family ordered the burgers, and they really enjoyed them. I actually had one of the best crabcakes of my life, and I grew up in Annapolis, MD. I've had plenty of crabcakes in this area. We will definitely be going back sometime soon!

On The Yard for I-Day, we were hot, tired, and hungry. A good combination for an air-conditioned restaurant! The hostess appeared a little out of sorts. Found out they were much busier than expected and a few menu items were no longer available. Ended up ordering a garden salad and the crab pretzel. It was very good and too much to finish. Our server, Jack, was awesome. He obviously felt so bad about having to return to our table to tell us they were out of such-and-such on a couple of occasions. He was a good sport and we took it easy on him. It wasn't his fault, he did his best.
