Yama Sushi Bar Reviews
As a Hispanic individual, I strongly advise against dining at this restaurant due to a deeply disappointing experience of discrimination and racism. Yama Sushi Bar in Annapolis has made a major comeback, once again being hailed as the best spot for sushi in town. The atmosphere is family-friendly and more casual compared to other sushi options in the area. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, including a cucumber wasabi salad that is a must-try. The restaurant is always bustling with locals, so be prepared for a short wait. Parking can be a challenge, but there is an overflow lot to the right of the restaurant.
The sushi at Yama Sushi Bar is really good. Customers have enjoyed the Yama specialty rolls like Paradise, Ocean, and Pearl, with the Paradise roll being a favorite, made with tempura shrimp and mango. The service is great, with servers arriving promptly to take orders, and the food coming out shortly after. Diners have also praised the impeccable freshness and quality of the sushi, noting the absence of any fishy smell. The restaurant's sushi differs slightly from traditional styles, with the wasabi not placed beneath the fish, allowing for customization. Many reviews highlight that the prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food offered.
Overall, Yama Sushi Bar is a delightful spot for sushi lovers, with delicious rolls that are sure to impress. Customers have consistently recommended the restaurant, and it remains a popular local favorite. Besides sushi, some enjoy the fun options like the Dino egg, and the lunch specials are especially wallet-friendly, featuring affordable tempura options under $6 for veggies and $7 for three shrimp with vegetables. The atmosphere, service, and fresh fish make this place a top choice for anyone passing through Annapolis.
