The chicken portions have become smaller and smaller — at this point they should rename the place Pichón Central instead of Pollo Central. The pieces are barely enough even for kids. They keep raising prices while reducing portions, which is really disappointing. The flavor and sides are still good, but the chicken portions no longer justify the cost.

The only dish close to authentic is the peruvian is the chicken, which is not as good as the real deal, but I give it 3 stars.
The pork dish is probably 40%meat and the rest fat. It should closer to 70% meat. The yucas, unless freshly cooked, are dry, hard, and too oily. I don’t recommend the any other Peruvian dishes (e.g., ceviche, arroz chaufa, chicharron, etc.).

Love the food here!!! Quesadillas chicken yuca and the sauce they give with the homemade tortilla are the best here! Highly recommend.. it’s my 4th time here this week 🤩

My job orders from here all the time but now we are starting to see a difference in quantity of food. $20 for this meal is crazy when I literally get 2 scoops of chaufa. The yucca quality has been down lately and we LOVE the yucca. We have slowed up on ordering because of this. Also when no one is at the register please instruct your kitchen staff to say “Hola como estas” Algo! Just staring at me and talking amongst themselves until the front person realizes someone is waiting there is annoying. Food is good don’t get me wrong but Don Pollo is right down the street and give great portions on sides.

The rice is really good and full of flavor. The chicken is decent in size and taste. The sides are good, but they don’t offer enough sauces.(The large sauce shown in the picture cost me over a dollar)

If you're in the mood for great Peruvian style chicken, stop by Pollo Central in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center. I've been getting carryout there for 2 years and they never disappoint. My go-to order is 1/2 chicken with fries and beans. In addition, I'll add some street tacos on the side. Everything is excellent. You can't go wrong with either chicken or al pastor with the street tacos, and the mayonnaise sauce I use for dipping my fries is addictive! The restaurant is always clean, and the staff is quick and efficient, so the wait is never long. Whether you're dining in or waiting for carryout, there are two large screens showing international soccer matches or news to help pass the time. This is a perfect after work stop for a great, reasonably priced dinner.

I got carry out and it was delicious… chicken, vegetables, arroz chaufa, yuca… all excellent.
Great tacos and soup, terrible customer service. Rudest staff in the DMV! Since this restaurant is on the way home from my office I usually place an order online as I'm leaving to take for the family. Almost always the elote is burned and chicken old and dry. Find it hard to believe that they roast the chicken the morning before serving. Yesterday I brought home a whole chicken, vegetables, chaufa rice and elote corn. Most of the chicken and corn were inedible.

Well, the lady at the front who charges is very pedantic to answer. I asked her a question and she came out annoyed with a stupid answer and if you don't like it she told me, talk to the manager, look at this lady's answer. I don't think I'll ever go buy chicken again. central I do not recommend it
