I had a ToGo order and the lady at the bar told me they do not do ToGo orders. The lady was very rude and standoffish. You can’t order unless they have a contract with Grubhub to take orders. The lady told me they were about to close. It was 4:25 they just opened. I’m writing this mainly because it was the attitude that I got from this lady, when all I was doing was my job. Customer service is what keeps an establishment going. I understand the restaurant was very busy but communication is the key!!

I have been to this neighborhood several times and while it is small the people are friendly and the cocktails are amazing. I have had a dirty gin martini, a cucumber gimlet and black Manhattan and all were delicious. The food is delectable as well. I had the roasted beets appetizer and it was the perfect combo of sweet and savory. Mmm. I'm so sad this place is closing down! Take this as a plea to stay open! Sigh.

Wonderful neighborhood spot for a cocktail or dinner. Teeny tiny in the best way. Huge fan of the burger.

Super cute little place! Perfect for a happy hour after work with friends or colleagues. They have a fully stocked bar! The staff was friendly and very attentive. All of the food was delicious, we tried almost everything on the appetizers list! My favorite was the pork empanadas and Korean fried chicken. Everything was well seasoned and had lots of flavor! Would definitely recommend!

Fabulous local Locust Point bar & restaurant! Really enjoyed 1157’s food, drinks and great ambiance. Loved the pork belly, braised short rib sandwich & cucumber martini! Looking forward to returning!

This is a cute spot. The decor is fun. The location is in a highly residential area but worth the trip. We had a bunch of small plate items that were delicious. The wine I had was great...I forget the brand. We will definitely go back here. The server was also wonderful and informative. We sat directly across from the bar so we could easily connect with the server. I highly recommend.

Would NOT recommend. By far the worst dining experience I've had in Charm City. Drinks were good, food was okay, service was atrocious. The waitress was clearly overwhelmed and continually made disparaging and discourteous remarks both to and about our party. When a group left, we asked for their table, and she said yes. After waiting for said table (for over 20 minutes), she cleared it, and gave it to a couple who had just walked up, stating "We have other customers." Needless to say, our group left and had a much more welcoming experience down the street at Eggrolls and Tacos

OMG! So delicious. Small place but they make the most out of that space. Food fresh and very interesting. Staff was super friendly. Could have eaten there for days if my stomach was big enough.

My favorite restaurant/bar in downtown Baltimore right now. Their menu special Spring pea salad was delicious as was the j*** pork belly.

The bougiest neighborhood "dive" I've ever been to. Cauliflower burnt ends, I don't know how they taste as good as they do; smoky with deep flavor. Speaking of flavor, it tastes like Jesus himself mixed the drinks. Everything here slaps harder than my mother, and she's a big lady.

Great, cozy atmosphere & comfortable bar seating. Food, service, and drinks were excellent across the board. The bartender, Russell, made sure our group was well-taken care of during our visit. Highly recommend!

This place is everything the community didn’t know it needed, and more. As a local foodie , and industry veteran, I’ve eaten at a lotttt of places. Worked at a lot of places. This spot hits the nail on the head.Intimate lighting , fresh modern vibe , gastropub feel, great food and drink , phenomenal service.I stumbled upon this place after reconnecting with an old colleague of mine. We worked together years ago and I hadn’t seen him in forever ,but If you haven’t had a drink made by Russell before , you need to get your butt in here. This man is a legend: he’s pickling his own bar onions , stuffing olives with different ingredients, developing high-brow mixologist level cocktails in a non fussy, relaxed environment. The cocktails are eclectic while still being approachable , if you’re scared to venture out of your comfort zone , talk to Russ ! He will have a discussion with you , and tailor make a drink to your needs.I also happened to come in on a night he was training a bar back ,, he has some great training tips and points I’d never heard of being taught to Someone. He’s like old school, dojo-style Sensei. Now on to the food , I never thought I’d be eating fresh scratch made pasta in a bar , yet here I am. I ordered the venison bolognese on both encounters , and I must say it one of the best bologneses( sp? Lol) I’ve ever had in my life. They braise the venison so it’s tender ,, their are hen of the woods mushrooms that meld into the sauce and fool you into thinking they’re bits of meat. The sauce was perfectly seasoned and the portion was perfect. Not too big. Not too small. I was worried about portions upon first glancing the menu. Everything is sized appropriately. The crispy octopus was great ! The salad even better ! Don’t you hate when there’s big chunks of raw onions in your salad ? Or they put all the onions and toppings right on top ,and there’s nothing mixed throughout ? NOT HERE,, the onions were thinly sliced ,along with figs and the prosciutto and blue cheese chunks distributed beautifully throughout the salad ! I was seriously impressed !Empanadas were stellar, white bean hummus great , and the show stealer was Russell’s kiwi sour to wash everything down. If you don’t think you’d like anything remotely sour in your cup , think again. This drink alone is worth venturing out to this place. Well done guys !!

So, for starters, we didn't eat dinner here - we were just meeting friends for drinks, but we thought the place was cool. It's totally out of the way and a little hidden neighborhood spot, but we had a great time. The guys behind the bar were great, the kiwi something tequila or mezcal cocktail I ordered was really good, and it came in a little glass bear with a straw. It was silly, cute and delicious. Maybe we'll see about food next time, but between the drinks and the chatter with the bartenders, we'll definitely be back.
