I’ve visited 17 Light Street several times after the reopening and have been consistently impressed by chef Will incredible dedication and skill. Despite the restaurant appearing understaffed sometimes, the chef expertly manages to take orders, juggle multiple tasks, and cook with an impressive level of professionalism and a warm, welcoming smile. The chicken sandwiches and burgers are consistently outstanding – juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The pizza is equally delightful. Even during peak hours, when wait times can be a bit longer, the chef’s ability to manage the kitchen seamlessly while making guests feel genuinely welcomed is truly commendable. If you are in the area, you should definitely visit this spit.

Server and bartender were great. Cocktails were very well made, and we liked the food. I got the bird Breath Pizza with hot honey. Wasn't the best pizza I've had but it got the job done late at night in Baltimore when I didn't feel like leaving the hotel.Got a pool table and several TV's as well. Stars knocked for a dirty/sticky table and wet menues.

I stayed long term in this hotel a few years ago. Based on then compared to now. Night and day.Breakfast menu before was awesome, fresh fruit, just more options, cleanliness then was better, staff appears to be stressed, you ask for something, as simple as wash cloths and it's a hassle. This hotel has gone from good to bad, I know things must change but not in business. Any change must be progress

Had a wonderful time here. The bartender was incredibly kind and attentive. We went late and had most of the place to ourselves. The booths were clean and comfortable and the food was great. Really like their quesadillas.

If you like a late night meal with quick service, check this place out

Michael, the bartender at the hotel’s restaurant (17 Restaurant)… I sat with Michael earlier after I checked in, Had a pleasant interaction with him and tipped him $15 cash (12 years a Bartender, cash tips don’t go on your check, you cannot be taxed for them! ALWAYS better to tip with cash!) on a tab for a shot and a martini... I came back down about an hour or so later to order food. I stood at the bar, he fixed a tray of drinks, took it to some folks in the restaurant. Meanwhile, a white couple comes in and sits at the opposite end of the bar from me. Michael comes back to the bar, looks around and goes directly to the couple and asks what they would like and he proceeds to serve them. I looked to my left and another guest (a woman) was looking at me in subtle shock. She saw what I saw. We both laughed and I simply walked out. There’s absolutely NO excuse. He blatantly skipped right over me. Never even acknowledging me at the bar at all… I recommend the hotel, but definitely NOT the restaurant. At least not when Michael is working, I guess ??‍♀️

Dirty tables, one person behind the bar working (she really did try her best) but the food was overpriced for a bland chicken sandwich, almost burnt fries, and sickly looking tomatoes. If you're staying at the Residence, you can find better restaurants close by.

YIKES. I hope we just caught this place on a bad night. It was Friday of Memorial Day weekend- an O's game was happening at home and Blink182 was playing at the arena- which we were headed to. There seemed to only be our server and the bartender working the restaurant, but there were also only 3 or 4 other tables in the hour or so we were there. It took a very long time for our order to be taken at all, even just drinks, and then it just got worse from there. They didn't have someone's order, so they ordered something else, then they didn't have that. Then they didn't have something for our app, which was going to come out with our food if at all, so we just cancelled it. When food did finally arrive, it was in waves instead of all of us being able to eat together. The burgers were good, but how hard is a burger? The quesadilla and shrimp cobb salad my friends ordered were pretty middling. Considering the price we paid for each item, they should have been WAY better. The bartender seemed the only competent person working, and once she took over, our food came out, drinks got refilled, and food was comped. The manager was eve less helpful than our original server and was clearly not taking charge of the restaurant. It was pretty pathetic. I would not recommend this restaurant and if we hadn't been pressed for time to make it to a concert, we would have just walked out and tried a different restaurant, but on a holiday weekend Friday night in the city, there was no way anywhere else would have been an option so late in the evening.

We were in a hurry to grab a bite so we stopped in and just ordered some appetizers. I think they were significantly understaffed, so it took awhile to get even appetizers. Also, one of our advertisers never arrived but they took it off the bill, so no big deal.

The waiter was excellent but the overall experience was awful. We ordered the chips and queso. One HOUR later they sent out chips drizzled in queso so they were all soggy. We also ordered chicken tenders that were flavorless and freezer burnt fries. They tried to give us the food for free but it was so slow in there we happily paid to leave. Also no plates for our dipping sauces. Prison food is better with faster service.
