Service is piss poor. We expressed dissatisfaction with our food and they said nothing is wrong with the roll basically dismissing or disdain. They obviously have no comprehension of customer service and the standards they should have…especially with the neighborhood in which they are in. Oh btw they have kids behind the bar working. Isn’t that a violation of bar rules? It should be.

We ordered take out sushi, sashimi and apps. The service was quick and courteous. The food was great and the fish seemed very fresh and tasty.The only complaint I have is that our sushi rolls weren't rolled very tightly and thus tended to fall apart when we picked them up.

I love sushi and am always excited to try new places. I ended up at the Rotunda with some extra time and thought I'd pick up sushi for dinner with some friends. I ordered 6 rolls and seaweed salad and edamame. I was shocked - SHOCKED - when I unpacked these when I got home and was setting up for company to discover that the rolls were mini-rolls! I've never seen any smaller! They were not enough to feed 2 people much less 4. The price was comparable to other places in the area so why the puny product? I was glad I had time to cook up some soup to go with these tiny little rolls. Needless to say - I won't be going back.

I hate to write this as I don't like bashing businesses, it pains me, but after reading some of the other reviews, I'm worried about people's health. I didn't report them for the same reason I mentioned above .. I don't like kicking independently owned businesses. But so many people mention getting food poisoning here and I did as well. I ordered their sushi, ate it, and about 2 hrs later began vomiting profusely. After that, I couldn't eat anything at all other than small bits of toast, saltines, and ginger ale, or exercise for 6 weeks. Had to go to the ER and deal with a huge bill. After 6 weeks I was finally able to eat normally again. That was about six months ago and now I've had constant unbearable nausea and can hardly eat anything for about a week and a half now. Google says you can have "relapses" after food poisoning.. what a nightmare. Feeling constantly nauseous with your diet and lifestyle restricted (can't exercise) is a nightmare! When will this nightmare end? I just want my life back and for whatever I've been poisoned with to leave my body for good ?. I'm sorry for anyone else who also got food poisoning here. I'm so miserable.

Came here on a Friday after work (around 7pm) and there was a nice moderate crowd. I was a little alarmed by the kid directing us to the bar area for a seat, but its a family business and he was very good at his job! The sushi is divine!! It's a great size portion and reasonably priced. The drinks are beautiful, not too strong, and you can still taste your liquor while enjoying the additional flavors. Every ingredient is listed in the menu along with accurate pictures, which is a great help in case you have allergies or are used to ordering one thing and it comes out looking like another. They have tvs and play a mixed genre of music. The gentleman beside us came alone and happily enjoyed a glass of wine and watched the Orioles baseball game. This place is a little slice of heaven. Great energy, and a lovely place to strike conversations should you come alone. They also have take out. I had an excellent experience here and I am definitely coming back for more!Parking: There is plenty of parking around this area. Most are limited to 2 hrs, but you can also find some spots that aren't limited at all.Dietary restrictions: Every ingredient is listed in the menu along with exact pictures, which is a great help in case you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

I liked 18-8! They had a great menu, which was made even better by all the photos ! We especially enjoyed the tuna pizza appetizer! I would skip the duck roll though. All the rolls were fantastic and i can't wait to try more!

Firstly this place is not Japanese rather it’s chinese and the food is bad. Very unfriendly and rude service. It seems like they are doing you a favor by taking your money to sell you food! To top that off it was super slow given there were only 4 diners at the “restaurant “ at 2 PM on Friday.I’ve never seen the nori sheet come off maki rolls even in supermarket avocado rolls but this place managed to do it. Their food tasted weird. They don’t provide you with a knife or spoon - just a fork and chopsticks do good luck with the tofu. We were told that they “don’t have Guinness anymore today” and it was just 2 PM.
